The 1985 Corvette featured the 5.7L V-8 L98, 350ci Tuned Port Injection The history of this car: This was my graduation gift, from my mom and dad! My father purchased this car, from a very dear family friend in 1989. It had been garaged and driven very rarely up to 1989. The mileage was 5,500 +/- at the time it was given to me. From 1989 to 2000, this was my commuter car. I drove, on average, 95 miles per day - 5 days a week, in traffic. during that 11 year period, I never once broke down. I have always had a strict maintenance schedule, and you can tell! In addition, this car has always been covered and garaged, and it shows! The last time drove the car on a long trip (2007+/-) I still got 26 miles per gallon! From 2001 thru 2010, I retired the car. I did the whole husband and kid thing. However, I have always started the car at least every other week and drove around the block. This car is all original except for the Flowmaster (3 chamber) Exhaust System, with chrome tips. I had them installed in 1998, along with a new catalytic converter. I have ALL of the maintenance records. This car has NEVER been wrecked, touched, nicked, nudged or scratched. The leather stitching has separated in two spots. However. the foam is still in perfect condition (I've always had seat covers). The rear compartment carpet shows signs of sun damage. On the wheel well areas and on the 2 back compartment openings. The paint on this car is awesome. However, there is 1 bubble in the paint, just to the left of the hood emblem. It is about the size of a quarter. It has been there since I've owned the car. ***EXPERIAN AUTO CHECK*** EXPERIAN AUTOCHECK CAN'T FIND ANY RECORDS FOR MY CAR. I CALLED THEM. THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO CHECK THE RECORDS MANUALLY, AND UPDATE THE CAR. (THEY ALSO TRIED TO SELL ME A FULL INSPECTION REPORT....I DECLINED) I KNOW THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND WE ARE THE SECOND OWNER. THE FIRST OWNER: MY FATHER GREW UP WITH - RACED MOTORCYCLES TOGETHER IN THE 60'S - BUILT THEIR SANGER SPEEDBOATS TOGETHER IN THE 70'S AND ARE STILL BEST FRIENDS TO THIS DAY. A LITTLE DEEPER: THIS CAR WAS A SHOWROOM MODEL AT THE CHEVROLET DEALER IN HOLLISTER CALIFORNIA. I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL PINK SLIP FROM 1989, A COPY THE THE PREVIOUS OWNERS PINK SLIP FROM 1985, THE DMV REGISTRATION CARD AND ALL THE MAINTENANCE RECORDS FROM 1989.
