This old gem is beautiful. I've never wanted to sell it but now must to be wise financially. It has spent its 58,000 mile life in arid Paradise, MT. I purchased it in all original condition and have slowly, completely, and professionally restored it. I have gone to great lengths to improve its durability, making it superior to factory condition while keeping that original look that we all love. Everything is there- original wheels, seats, lights, bumper, bumperetts, emblems hubcaps etc. Driver seat is adjustable with a storage compartment underneath. (pictured next to it is my fathers 66FJ not included of course) Original Freeborne Red Color Scheme -Martin Senior line -Old paint and spots of rust removed. When body filler was needed only Evercoat’s Metal 2 Metal was used. Epoxy primer applied. -High build immediately applied - Flat Sanded -(every square inch), sealed then base coated -3 cross coats of clear (I have not cheated and flatsanded the daylights out of the clear coat either) The finish is gorgeous and thick Interior Pictured without dash pad. I have a new dash pad but just have not installed and wanted to show what was beneath. The same was done on the underside of the tub for fantastic looks and of course durability/functionality. Interior can be hosed down with NO worries about rust. (drain holes located in front) -Stainless hardware -Xylol based hammercoat applied by hand (thick) as accent color to match the original scheme with a hint of silver vein. This product is much like powder coat but does not require the headache to repair a scratch or ding (good luck scratching it) This product also covers the entire frame and the axles. A tedious process but well worth it especially if it will live in a harsh environment. -Engine compartment has been finished in a light coat of catalized bedliner for its rust/chip resistance and sound deadening qualities ALL the rubber is original and in great condition The same goes for the glass All new SOR factory spec upholstery professionally installed. Mechanical Completely gone through mechanically by local Quality Automotive Engine has had a thorough tune up -sounds great and is strong. -Diffs serviced and brakes redone -Rebuilt carburetor -New fuel lines, fuel pump, and filter. -Newer exhaust/gaskets -New shocks Everything functions as it should including all gauges Runs like a top and handles great. This FJ will go anywhere and do so in style. Tires are new Bighorns. Les Schwabe just installed them. They perform very well, they have side biters, and are pinned for studsAll hubcaps are perfect save the original spare's hubcap which is very slightly dented.
