Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1953 Chevy, 4 door Sedan. I knew the folks that bought it new in California and drove it to Nashville and kept it till they died and left it to their niece. My uncle wound up with it , then me. It starts and runs good with the original engine and all the rest. The gas tank was bad and a new one installed. A new carb. was installed. Starter just rebuilt. Generator (six volt) rebuilt. New radiator. Original wiper motor rebuilt. Radio rebuilt and works good out of the car, but when I install it, can barely hear it. Can't figure that out. The car is the original color, but was painted several years ago before I got it and they used metallic paint. I doubt they had that in 1953. There are some imperfections in the paint, but not real bad. The interior has been redone with the original type stuff, seats, headliner, ect. Back seat has a stain I need to try to correct. Heat controls are stuck on. New fan switch was added. Hand choke/throttle installed. Good tires. The front bumper needs to be rechromed. All and all this is a good driver, but not a show car. I have to children in college and due to circumstances beyond my control, woefully unprepared financially. Otherwise I'd never sell this car. I love to drive it. The price is 10,000.00 and that's my final answer.
