You are bidding on a 1969 F100 Ranger edition pickup, 302 V8 engine with manual column shift transmission. Overall the truck is in good driveable shape but needs some specific work done before it is a daily driver. The truck just made a 100-mile trip and ran fine. The good:- Low rust, body and engine in good condition- Transmission shifts smooth (for a column shift!)- New custom dual exhaust w/ aluminized pipe- New intake manifold gasket, hedder gaskets The bad:- Almost all the electricals need to be re-run, in particular headlights and tailights. Headlights are currently not working on console switch. The main console has some non-working functions like the speedometer, battery meter, etc. Most likely just some loose connections.- I would strongly suggest a new carburator. Current carb is an Edelbrock Performer w/ manual choke, it is clean but very touchy and generally a pain to adjust right. The ugly:- The gas tank is original and has a cracked weld, causing a slow leak in the cab. It drives fine and holds gas, but there is a strong smell on warm days. It needs to be replaced. Overall the truck is a worthy restoration vehicle. My understanding is that it was in California for most of its life (1969 to ~2007), and most of the cosmetic rust that's starting to form is from being in New England for just the past few years. Still looks great, especially the interior. I'm selling it because it was a 2nd project vehicle for myself, now I'm trying to liquidate assets to buy my first house.
