All of the expensive mechanical, paint and body work has been done. Just drive, show, and enjoy! History Car was purchased new by my father, a United States Marine Corps officer in July, 1958 from A. M. Capurro & Sons, Ltd. in Gibraltar (still in business today). This is a USA model not a European model. Extensive documentation including all service receipts since new, original bill of sale, invoice with options list, original payment. It has been in four countries: Germany, Gibraltar, Mexico, and the USA. Includes factory Mercedes 1958 service manual on CD. Paint Car was stripped down to bare metal and repainted Black (original color) by a Mercedes restoration specialist at a cost of over $9000. All receipts for the work including all parts replaced (rubber gaskets for chrome, etc.) All chrome and rubber gaskets were removed as well as doors, hood, and trunk lid when painted. Car has a factory NEW grill, fog lights, and MB hood star. Excellent paint work – very shiny. Mechanicals This summer spent $5000 to prepare for sale. Car has 6 new brake cylinders, new motor and transmission mounts, new brake linings, full tune up, etc. Engine and transmission have been rebuilt. Can be viewed by appointment in Dallas, Texas.
