This truck was produced in late '93. It is one of the few models available with a pre-Powerstroke diesel engine that was factory-equipped with a turbo-charger. Previous owners used it as a farm truck and it was not driven a great deal resulting in a low mileage for a vehicle this age. It has a five-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel-drive train with a floor-board mounted shifter and automatic locking hubs. The four-wheel-drive system works fine. Overall, the truck does need some repairs, specifically the transmission has gotten out of sync and left the truck unable to shift into reverse without difficulty. It also needs some maintinance on the brakes and air conditioning system. There are some dents down the passenger side and, as it was a work truck, it has some cosmetic defects on the interior as well. This truck has the standard dual fuel tanks and the toggle switch works just fine. With a few repairs, this would make a great work truck that would last for quite some time. One of the previous owners had the truck equipped with a custom rear bumper and hitch. The hitch is spring loaded to absorb the stress of starting and stopping with a heavy trailer, and slides out to allow for easier hook-up to a trailer. Once the trailer is hitched, the truck can be back-up slightly causing the hitch tongue to retract and lock into place. Current owner has done some towing with the truck and it handled without a problem any task it was given.
