Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very solid 1969 Dodge Charger which originally came out of Arkansas. This is an excellent candidate for you to restore to however you would like it to be or you can drive it as is while you decide what to do. Keep in mind, I have not cruised this vehicle all over town. It is very road worthy but has not been on any long distance drives. Take a good look at the pictures and read my description of the vehicle. The pictures are pretty good at telling the story and I will describe the vehicle also. I have had more than two dozen 69 Chargers over the past couple of years and have not had a problem selling them. I have also had a 100% satisfaction record with each of the sales. This is currently one of three that I have. My passion is to find these vehicles and match them with people who may not have the means on locating them. My brother and I have redone some of them and some of them we have not. This one has only been partially redone as I will describe. The engine in this Charger is the numbers matching 383 cubic inch power plant. It has been completely rebuilt and only has around 100 miles on the rebuild. It was bored .040 over and is equipped with a 4 barrel carburetor which is believed to be the original one. The engine fires up on command, runs great, and sounds great. The 727 automatic transmission has been rebuilt also. The engine is painted orange and is also equipped with air conditioning. That's right, I said air conditioning. This is also a factory A/C car and as the pictures show, the A/C is still there. The cooling hoses, belts, plug wires, etc. have all been replaced with the engine rebuild. The battery is new also. Brand new exhaust has been run underneath ensuring efficient exhaust flow from the engine. The body of the car is solid. It is not perfect by any means but you will not need to "hack it up" when doing the exterior restoration. It does need a patch panel on the lower right rear quarter panel and that is going to be included in the sale of the car. As the pictures show, there is a little rust and damage there but nothing significant. The paint is oxidized. What may look like minor surface imperfections, is the oxidized paint. Look at the picture of the rear end. The paint on the panel under the rear window is so oxidized it appears to almost look like surface rust. IT IS NOT. Another thing to consider is the doors and fenders. They are super solid and still have great alignment. The doors open and shut very well and do not sag. The underside is clean and solid. The pictures show what I am telling you. Frame rails and torsion boxes are as strong as you could ask for. There may be a little oil and grime from before the engine and tranny were rebuilt but that is about it. The front and rear bumpers do need rechromed. The lower left rear quarter is dented but can be fixed without replacing that section. Other than some minor dings, the rest of the body is great. There is a new vinyl top that is included with the car. It will be your responsibility to have that installed if you would like to. The vehicle also has the original steel rims and hub caps which I will include with the car if you want them. You must specify that you want them. I do have the build sheet and fender tag. The interior has brand new front and rear seat covers, carpet, and headliner. The pictures of the interior make the carpet appear a little faded but it is not. There is also a console with shifter which many people prefer over the ordinary column shift. As you can see, the door panels are in very good shape also. The mileage showing on the odometer reads 13,855 which is obviously not original for a 40 year old car. There is a factory radio that comes with the car but it is not installed. There are also headrests that have not been installed but have been kept with the car. They will go with the car also. The headlight louvers still work and the grille is still in good condition. All of the glass is there and still in pretty good condition. There are many more things that I could say about the car but will allow you to view the pictures and phone me if you are interested in any more information. My phone number is 419-296-9073. My name is Tim and I will gladly answer any questions you may have. Terms are as follows: $2000.00 deposit within 72 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due in full within 7 days of the auctions end. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, wire transfer, money orders, or certified funds. All funds must clear the bank before car will be released, no exceptions! Vehicle is being sold as is, where is with shipping the responsibility of the winning bidder. However, I will assist in the shipping process if I can by helping load the vehicle and/or providing you with a list of reliable transporters. I do reserve the right to end the auction early. There are no warranties either expressed or implied. The vehicle is being stored indoors in a heated dry facility and can be kept there for up to 2 weeks after the auction ends. I understand how time consuming it can be to try to set aside time and locate transporters or even find time to pick up a vehicle yourself. I am very easy to work with. I look forward to your calls and emails concerning this 69 Charger. Remember, I also have 2 more 69 Chargers. One is a rear RT and the other is an SE model. I will be listing them in the near future. Thanks for your interest in this Charger.
