This 1984 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible is one of the rare, unmolested, original models that if taken care of as it has been all its previous life, will continue to appreciate as these are fast becoming the desired collectible Muscle Car by automobile aficianado's nationwide. The car is in amazing original condition and runs better than new. In preparation for sale, she has been tuned and is in drive-away ready condition and runs like a top. The brakes are fresh, I have just changed the front and rear struts, the carburetor has been tuned and adjusted, the oil has been changed, she has just passed the CA emmissions test. The Goodyear Eagle tires are 95%. The 88, 425 miles are original. The interior is in amazing condition and I would say is a 9 out of 10 and that is only because the car is 26 years old. Look at the photos...this is a creampuff. The exterior paint is original and for the age, I think is amazing. She is regularly compounded and waxed. There are imperfections, a couple of very minor door dings, but overall the exterior is also in amazing condition for her age. The current compound and wax job is less than a month old. She is a California car and there is no rust, no issues. The car is an early 1984 model. It has a unique rarity in that it does not have the fog lamps in the front air dam which cars later in the production year had. It has the distinctive flat black hood panel, the powerful 5-Litre 302 HO V8 motor with the Holley 4 Barrel carb delivering 175 horsepower with the Borg Warner t-5 Manual 5 speed transmission with overdrive. It has a Flowmaster Exhaust, but other than that, there have been no other motor enhancements....I have chosen to keep her stock for collectible value. There are a couple of items of note, I keep her garaged, she is not a daily driver and I rarely put up the top (I am in SoCal afterall). For those in more challenging climes, I would suggest the top be renewed as it does have a few patches. Also, the heater/air is not working and I have not bothered with it for the same reason as above. The wheels are not original for the year, but are from a 1985...I simply prefer this look but the traditionalist collector may wish to change out. Lastly, the only other non-original item is the addition of two very tastefully mounted after-market stereo speakers in the door panels that appear to be from the eighties. They sound great however, and the original AM/FM stereo cassette is also pretty awesome and puts out some excellent sound. The cruise control is perfect for the SoCal freeways and also works flawlessly. The front drivers and passengers windows are power operated, the rear windows are manual. Additionally, I have a complete file which includes all records of work done to the vehicle since day 1 when the car was purchased from Roger Miller Lincoln Mercury of Anaheim, including all oil changes, smog certifications, service...etc. The car will sell with clear California Title and current registration through Oct. 2011 for those in California. For out of state biddders, I will gladly work with you on the logistics of transport. Additionally, I will gladly store her in my garage, covered and safe until the transfer is arranged.
