I AM LISTING A NUMBERS MATCHING ATHENTIC DOUCUMENTED 1979 MACHO TRANS AM #56 OUT OF ONLY 96 MADE IN 1979 4 SPEED 400 6.6 T/A. THIS CAR IS EXTREIMLY RARE AND COLLECTABLE IT HAS BEEN STORED IN A GARAGE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE CAR WAS LAST REGISTERD IN 2006 AND HAS HAD A CURRENT NON OPERATIONAL REGISTRATION SINCE. This car is in great shape with only 40,956 miles and has all the original parts , even the spare tire with jack and air canister. The body has no rust and the paint is original. I have never started this car but the previous owner said it ran good. The engine appears to be in good shape still looks factory and the oil is clean no sign of damage. This car has the Z code 400 pontiac motor with the good 6x heads as well as the 4 speed manual transmission. All factory equipment appears to be correct and functional. It also has a new flowmaster dual exhaust with new dual cats with new pipes from the motor to the correct split trans am exhaust tips. The tires were replaced last year with BF Goodrich TA raidials and are in great shape. The interior seats have been re upulstered with the factory hob nail cloth the car came with, the dash is in perfect shape with no cracks and the steering wheel looks like new. The carpet still needs to be replaced as well as the rear side plastic panels next to the rear seats. All the glass is in good shape as well as the rust free california body. Now as for the infomation on the Macho Package wich some may not be familiar with. A company named DKM out of arizona customized these cars when they were new, some of the modifications made were carberatior tuning, Koni racing shocks, lowered front springs, performace dual exhaust, opening up the hood scoop and making it functional and of course the Macho Paint sceme. The 1979 trans am was one of the highest performace production cars of its time with the pontiac 400 motor with 4 speed 6.6 TA making around 220 hp oposed to the 6.6 Liter 403 automatic olds motor making around 185 hp. Then you add the performace options offered by DKM with the macho trans ams adding about 50hp. One big addition to that was the opening of the hood scoop so the motor could beathe again pulling in fresh cool air. The macho is a super rare and collectable trans am on top of the 4 speed option as well as the fact that each Macho Trans am had its own number. I HAVE THE LETTER OF ATHENTICITY.
