Vehicle Detail

1986 Porsche 911 Coupe: I bought this car off the original owner. It has 131,000 miles on it and does not leak a single drop of oil. The motor runs great. The tranny shifts great, no syncro problems at all. I can shift into first while still moving which is a good sign on these cars. The car is being sold with the standard coupe engine lid. Not the turbo tail as some of the pictures show. White exterior with burgundy interior with all the trimmings. Interior is in really nice shape except for a very small tear in headliner and the left bolster on the front seat is worn out a bit from normal use. Carpet is good, no cracks on dash. The defroster cranks out lots of heat. The car has spent most of its life inside a garage and well maintained. I have every receipt from myself and the previous owner as well as some extra parts. Brake pads, books, belts, original stereo and speakers. There are a few bumps and dings on the exterior and I will attempt to take pics of all of them. When I buff out the paint it looks amazing as some of the pictures show. The car cleans up pretty nice. The lower ground effects (front valence, side rails) have the normal amount of road rash and scratches on the original paint. The rear lower valence is missing as well. I don't know how or why, but I never bought one and put it on over since I've owned it. By the way I've owned the car since 1999 and it was always a Washington State car. I have found zero rust on the undercarriage or under the carpets. There are pictures to show this as well. I've priced the car to sell. This car has been amazing to drive for the last ten years. I've never had it out to the track and have not driven it any harder than it like to. It is drives tight and does not rattle, squeak, or make any funny noises. I've had a couple other projects the last couple years and have only driven this car about 100 miles in that time. For that reason, it is time to pass it on to it's third owner. There is a reserve, but I feel it is low enough that you'll have some extra cash to add some personal touches and still get a screaming deal. Please email me with any questions and I'll respond as fast as possible. I will be happy to work with anyone on shipping and delivery of the car but it is your responsibility to figure it all out. I also have a factory 911 Turbo whale tail that can be sold with the car for an extra price. A few of the pictures show the turbo tail, but it does NOT come with the car for this auction. I'm more than happy to make an extra deal for the winning bidder though. On Dec-03-10 at 21:57:10 PST, seller added the following information: Quick update: I took the car into John Walker Workshop (Very respected Porsche shop) for a once over so that there would be no surprises for potential buyers. I wanted him to take it for a drive and give the engine a thorough check. -Replaced all spark plugs (NGK) -Replaced both belts -Oil Change with Kendall 20/50 oil -Oil filter changed -Compression test: #1 = 180, #2 = 180, #3 = 175, #4 = 175, #5 = 175, #6 = 185 -Leak-down test was done. Cylinders were between 5% - 15%. The numbers are very consistent with a car that hasn't been driven very much. He mentioned that he'd like to re-test after I took it out for a "Italian Tune-up". Meaning, go take it out on the freeway and clean up the carbon a bit. I'll retest after the weekend if the weather permits a drive. Either way, the numbers are fine and he didn't see any problems and thought it was a strong motor and transmission. -Clutch adjustment. Shifts even better now. *Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
