1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, With a Full Restoration. This Toyota has taken me four years to complet. Where do I start, first this Toyota has almost ever bolt and nut new. The engine took me a year to rebuild, I took the stock F block and replaced it with a 1978 2F bolck. I was able to build up the engine befor I put back in. I took the factory F head from the 1974 block and put it on the 1978 2F block witch bumps the compression to about 9.5 to 1. The engine was completly rebuilt, the bolck was boared 20 over with all new pistons, cam, oil pump, crank, and balanced rods, every part is new on this engine. This Cruiser pulls very hard for a 2F. Other goodies are New Weber Carb, custom header, and custom exhaust. The transmission and transfer case where also rebuilt at this time. I was able to install a York air compressor on the engine, so you would be able to run air tools or A/C if wanted. The body on this Cruiser is in wonderful shape, I painted the whole Toyota with Sherwin-Williams Paint, code #7924- Olive, and I used Sherwin-Williams Performance Plus Clear Coat #CC940. Only the best was used on this Cruiser. All the interior has been recovered with factory repalcement vinyl thanks in part to Cool Cruisers. The FJ40 has a truly custom suspention, all parts where bought new from Alcan. They are custom 5" long springs. The front axle has been rebuilt, with new Burfields and new heavy duty joints, and I added a Disc brake kit from a mini truck and a shackel reversal. The front axle also has a Lock-Right and manual hubs. The rear axle has been rebuilt as well, with Disc Brakes and a set of cantilever rear shackels. This Cruiser stops on a dime. The Cruiser has had the inside sprayed with Line-X, the real stuff. It looks great. I have the Factory Hard Top, Factory Hard doors for this FJ40 as well. I also have a new soft top from BestTop. I put a full front roll cage in this Cruiser for safety. All factory hardware and roll cage have been powerd coated. I have added a custom front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch. The winch has been rebuilt as well. There is way more that I have done to this Cruiser, what I have told you about is just the begining. Way to much to list all.
