1963 Porsche 356B Great driver, complete, engine recently rebuilt with good tires and brakes. The car was owned by the previous owner for some time and he used it as a daily driver. Several years ago, he began a restoration of the car and had the floors professionally replaced and the engine rebuilt. Mechanics- Engine rebuilt and engine metal powder coated. Engine number is 616/1. The car runs good but has a “flutter” under load. I had the valves adjusted etc. but the flutter appears to be in the carbs – original Zeniths. The car did sit for a couple of years so I suspect fuel system. Has aftermarket ANSA exhaust. Transmission and clutch are good and the brakes were recently rebuilt. Car also has newer Bilstein shocks and good Yokohama tires. Interior- Previous owner began to remove interior. No carpet and the headliner material on the A and B pillars have been removed. The dash pad appears to be a new replacement but is not properly installed. Dash paint is okay and appears original. Has a period Blaupunkt radio that supposedly works but is not connected. Front seat covers are okay, back covers need replacing and it is missing lower back seat covers. Has new heater slide covers. Missing threshold molding and material. Exterior- Previous owner undertook a paint job of the car which looks great from 10+ feet and not horrible up close. Appears to be originally white/ivory color. They replaced the passenger side door because of some rust bubbles – the gap on the replacement door is not good in my opinion, but the good news is the original door (with correct codes stamped inside) is included. For some reason they did not install the jack spurs when the floors were done. Bumpers are okay but have usual wear and stress where they mount. Missing horn grills and passenger side mirror. Also missing exterior trim for the rocker panel area. Extras- Comes with a box of stuff – spare chrome vent window/door window track assembly, also original passenger door and a partial tool kit(see photos). With a good tune up and carb adjustment, the car is an excellent driver. With the engine and floors already done, it’s an excellent candidate for a reasonable $$ restoration. Car is located in northeastern South Carolina about 20 miles from I-95. I can assist with loading the car or coordinating pickup. Payment in cash, certified check or PayPal.
