Up for Sale I have an absolutely stunning 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280sl With only 84,552 original miles! This Mercedes has the 2.8L six cylinder w/ fuel injection and Automatic transmission. Engine runs great and the transmission shifts smooth. This car is truly fun to drive. The Mercedes underwent an extensive professional frame on restoration in 2008. Body is laser straight, paint is beautiful. Everything has been re-chromed, all body seals are new. New interior, New convertible top. (in black) All details have been attended to. The body is extremely clean! There is not one speck of rust on this car and there never was. This car has never been in any accidents. During the restoration there was only one minor dent that required repair. Due to the low mileage on the car, very little mechanical work was needed beyond routine maintenance. The valves have been adjusted, and all other maintenance is up to date and was professionally done. New tires and brakes all around. All receipts from the 2008 restoration and maintenance work are included. There is also a large collection of receipts and documents from the cars' earlier days. Very well documented. Original Owners manual and service booklet included. This car has always been well maintained and cared for. Always garaged and meticulously cleaned. The owner has a reputation for keeping his vehicles in excellent shape. Stand for Pagoda top is included in the auction.
