Vehicle Detail
This is a super clean matching number 1970 AAR Cuda. It is an original red on red automatic car with PS and PDB. It has its original TA steering box. The original fender tags are there as well as the original build sheet. The car is disassembled. The body is super clean with virtually no rust. Only the original front fenders need a little attention. The body has the original trunk pan, floors and quarters etc. Although it is possible the car is a rebody or a partial rebody. The matching VIN is stamped on the cowl, but is unreadable on the radiator support. I am just trying to be upfront. The previous owner gave me some indication of a rebody. The engine is definitely original with the matching VIN# stamped on the block. The heads, intake, carbs, air cleaner are all original except I believe the center carb is a replacement. The engine was running when it was removed, but it was tired, so it should be gone through. The front "K" frame is out being rebuilt with new ball joints, tie rod ends and poly bushings. This will be put back in the car for transportation if someone buys it. The seats have original covers, as far as I know, and although they are a little dirty they are in good shape. This is a great car with all the original AAR components intact. The rear end is the original 8 3/4 with 3.55 posi gears. It does need paint and assembly, but the work needed anyone can do and you can have an original matching number AAR for 1/2 or even less than 1/2 of almost any other one out there and it is a real red on red car. My reserve is less than the buy it now, so please be serious if you bid.On Nov-26-10 at 07:26:18 PST, seller added the following information: I have had quite a few questions about the parts for the car. I have all the glass except a windshield. I have the transmission and a grill and I believe just about everything that came off the car except a trunk lid. I forgot to put that in my ad. I have found some okay ones for around $100, but a new one can be purchased for around $300. If I can't find a decent one before the car sells I will reduce the price by $300 for the buyer if they like. Also the hood is on the car attached to the hood hinges. It is an original AAR Cuda hood that came with the car and although not perfect it is pretty darn good. The engine is a TA block and is the original one for the car with a clearly readable matching VIN# on it. Pictures can be provided if you like. I hope this helps.
