Vehicle Detail
1970 Porsche 911- No Reserve. I bought this Porsche approximately 2 years ago with the intention of restoring it to a weekend driver. I have now lost my storage due to my landlord being foreclosed on and must thin down my number of projects. The car was running when I got it but it has been sitting since then and the battery is dead. The pictures pretty much tell the story. Mileage shows 15335 but is probably 115335. The car has some amatuer repairs to the rear floorpan at the passenger footwell area that need to be done properly. The rear passenger's seat and back pan needs some rust repair also, but structurally is ok. Grind and hammer weld or replace some metal. Decklid and bonnet release well, no rust on either. Passenger side fender has surface rust from paint peeling, no rust through. Rockers look ok but are covered in body schutz as per original. Motor is original to car, has developed a leak from sitting. Ran fine 2 years ago. Trans worked through 3rd, never got it faster than that. Brakes work but are sticky from sitting. All glass is original and in good shape, windows wind up and down fine and rears pop out as they should. Front trunk area looks good. Towing tounge is in place and still works well(no rust). Converted to single battery. Original fuchs wheels, rubber looks good with plenty of tread. Some bubbling rust at door bottoms and at one corner of the valence panel above the decklid. Door sills look good. interior is there but rough, seats are later 911 highback type. Carpet has been pulled out. The car is still structurally sound, doors, hood, and bonnet all close easily with good gaps. RS type fiberglass front bumper, but I do have the original and it is in good shape, US bumperettes included. Original tool kit included. Original owner's manual included. Again, this is a project that is not currently running. It will have to be pushed/winched onto a trailer. Clear Florida title. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. Transport and delivery is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist in loading. Payment in the form of cash or cashier's check. $500.00 deposit through PayPal within 24 hours unless you make other arrangements with me. If payment is in the form of a cashier's check it now takes one week for a cashier's check to clear. All monies must clear the bank before vehicle is picked up. Thanks, Guy **SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE COLLECTOR CARS AND CAR STUFF I'M SELLING THIS WEEK**On Nov-23-10 at 15:54:19 PST, seller added the following information: Hi, I have had several people ask about the A pillars, pans, and suspension attachment points. A pillars look good, pans look good except where I described the poor repair in Driver's side rear pasenger area. The suspension attachement points look good. As far as rust the worst area is the passenger area at the package tray and at the passenger seats. The jack points are still on the car and are good metal. I also jacked the car up with the factory jack in the attachment points and the car did not creak groan, or even make a squeak! I jacked both sides up until it was on 2 wheels each time. Once down all door gaps and hood and bonnet gaps are just as good as they were. See pics!- Thanks, Guy On Nov-26-10 at 16:39:09 PST, seller added the following information: Hi, I have had a few more calls about the Porsche. The original key is with the car, I think you can see it in the dash picture. The tools are in the tool kit, but need cleaning up. A picture of the title and the owners manual has been added to the pictures. I have had a few bidders with Zero ( 0 ) Feedback bid which I do not mind, but please email me that you understand you are bidding to buy and must provide a $500.00 deposit at the auction's end within 24 hours and pay for the car within a week per ebay's payment rules. Please understand that All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any other questions about the car. Thanks, Guy
