Beautiful example of a well taken care of STOCK original California Honda Del Sol S type w/ the VTEC engine. One owner for the first 15 years. I am a car enthusaist and collector and the second owner. I acquired this car just shy of one year ago directly from the original owner who lived within several miles from me. This was always a second car, a weekend car that was pampered, garaged and meticulously taken care of. It has been in southern CA all of it's life. The first owner was a very proud owner of this car, just loved it. Original paint has held up extremely well in white w/ very few/minor imperfections (ding,scratch) on the body that does not detract from the overall excellent condition. The car sits on Bridgestone Potenza tires that are in excellent newer condition w/ plenty of tread. The rims are stock excellent. The interior of the car is also in excellent condition. The seats are extremely comfortable in fabric, color black, each with a vertical red stripe down the center. Very nice looking. The dash is free from cracks as the car has always been garaged. All gauges work and all power windows work as well as the stereo. A truly well thought out car, ahead of it's time w/ the infamous power rear window and of course the removeable top that stows neatly in the brackets made for it in the trunk. As you know, the trunk can hold considerable storage (full size suitcase) and still have the removable top secure in it's place. I have a passion for sports cars, yet keeping cars in their original form. I was astonished as to how the car performs on the twisty roads as the car hugs the road exceptionally well. The car can deceive you at low rpm as it seems like a nice mellow car, then push on the accelerator and as the tach moves up (high redline in these cars), the VTEC KICKS IN and the engine sound GREAT... great whine, strong as the car moves forward. Many of the del sols are not with the VTEC engines and it makes an enormous difference. The sounds of the engine with the VTEC are GREAT !!!! I love the car, yet as of 3 days from now, will not have storage for it any longer, so it must go to someone who will be the next proud owner. I hope this will go to someone who is very much into this type of honda !! The original mileage presently is at 63,728 which over the course of nearly 16 years is less than 4,000 miles per year. I have never seen such a LOW MILEAGE STOCK del sol car, yet have seen many of these cars with 175,000 - 370,000 miles on the odometer. These high mileage cars show the durability of these engines and bodies. This car would be great to keep as a collector or for an every day car to cherish for years to come. The previous owner had the car always serviced, all oil changes at the "dealership". I have some receipts from about 36,000 miles to present. I am sure prior service history during the warranty is avail at the dealer direct. BONUS - On February, 2010, I performed a MAJOR service on this car, installing new timing belts, water pump, belts, plugs, gaskets as necessary, adjusted valves, new battery to the tune of $851.00 to make this car ready for the next several years to come! No need to be concerned to have to do the important timing belt. I replaced the rear hatch latch was inop. The only thing that I can possibly think that this car needs is to have the a/c recharged. It worked well for me all this past summer in the 113 heat in south ca. The car passed smog in May of 2010 with flying colors. In summary, it is a fantastic car, great gas mileage, easy to park, handles superb, exciting to drive......................and, is a great conversation piece as not many like this around these days.. much better than a typical miata or toyota.. a great classic w/ reliability and power. MEANING THIS CAR BOASTS THE 16 VALVE SOHC VTEC ENGINE W/ 7200 REDLINE which makes this a significantly more rarer, better performer and an overall better buy. An ebayer pointed this out to me and I have verified this information on the engine and checked/confirmed it against the VIN as well. What makes this even rarer is it had the same owner for 15 years prior to my purchase, California car, never modified, never painted, extremely LOW mileage w/ full service recently done. By the way, in respect to mpg, this car can achieve 35 mpg driving on the highway. Does not hurt with current gas prices.. Once again, this is a 1995 Del Sol SI VTEC.
