I am the third owner of this incredibly low miles 1990 Talladega Red SPG. Only 219 of these came the US in 1990. The car has been extremely well cared for as has for all but the last 8 month been owned by one woman driver. I now have too many cars in the driveway and I need to make some room. The paint is original and in very good condition. I just had the entire car professionally detailed and the car shines inside and out. There are some scratches and a couple of very minor dings but nothing that is out of the ordinary for such an old car. The interior is spotless, everything works perfectly including windows, sunroof , radio etc. The headliner is in good condition and the only part that sags even a little is the sunroof section. The rear seats are original and in mint condition, the front seats are also excellent with no tears and minimal wear. The original factory equalizer is still in the car but the stereo has been replaced with an after-market sony cd player. The dash is in excellent condition with only a couple of cracks. There is no rust anywhere on the car, it just passed Virginia state safety and emissions inspections with flying colors. I also had the car professionally inspected by a local Saab specialist and the car was given a clean bill of health except for the front engine hydraulic mount which was replaced. The tires are a matching set of toyo proxes that are brand new. The transmission on this car is as smooth as silk and shifts incredibly well, the turbo pulls strong and the brakes are good Overall you will not find a lower mileage example of this car. The car has two keys as well as the owners manual. The spare is in excellent condition and the tool kit is present. I always store the car under a car cover and that will go to the winning bidder. The spare tire has good tread, I think it is the orignial spare tire. The car will also come with the orignial Saab maps of North America that are very rare that were provided with the car when new. I have been specifically asked about the dings and scratches so here is a bit more specific information. The only scratch or ding that you would note is on the drivers door and it is about 2" long and pretty minor. Overall the paint is great, certainly a lot better than you would expect on a car of this age. The paint is not perfect and in a couple of spots the clearcoat has peeled very slightly. It is nothing major at all I just want to give everyone the best information. The condition of the car is certainly much better than the average car of this age. Apparently 771 were brought over and half were red and the other half were black.
