This truck is set up for long distance hauling. This is the cleanest 1998 2-wheel drive rust free Dodge Diesel. 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 Sport. Last year of the 12 Valve Cummins Diesel which was the most reliable diesel. This Dodge truck has only 91,000 miles. It drives like a brand new truck. There are no irregular noises. Everything mechanically inside and out functions correctly. Every light on the truck works. Every gauge operates correctly. Power windows and door locks all work. Comes with 2 remote key entries. It has 6 brand new tires with less than 4,000 miles on them. It has new rear brakes done at the same time as the tires. Stainless steel MBRP full exhaust system. A full service and NY State inspection done in September 2010. Truck has an ARE locking Tonneau cover. There is a small dent on the tailgate of the truck as shown in the photo. There is absolutely no sign of any rust on the body. There are a few small chips, the largest one being on the hood as shown in the photo. You won't be disappointed at how good the quality of the paint and body are. Inside the truck air conditioner blows ice cold. It has power windows, power locks, tilt steering wheel, automatic transmission with overdrive button on shifter column. Oil pressure gauge, water temperature, tachometer and voltage gauge are all stock. Driver and passenger airbags, cruise control, power steering, power brakes. Overhead console has compass and outside temperature. The headliner is in perfect condition and there are no rips in the seats. The interior is absolutely flawless. It was very well taken care of. I had a full audio system professionally installed. It consists of 2 JL Audio amps which are mounted underneath the driver and passenger seats as shown in photos, a 500/1 amp which drives the JL Audio stealth sub woofer box which is under the rear seat shown in photo. This is offered by JL Audio to fit this model truck. The other amp is a 300/4 which drives the front and rear door speakers. They are also JL Audio. There are 2 tweeters in the A pillars. The Kenwood stereo features include XM/Sirius radio, 6 CD changer and Blue Tooth which is currently set up in this truck. A Garmin GPS power cord was also hard wired along with a Blackberry cell phone charger. The cost of the sound system without installation was close to $5,000 and another $1,000 for installation. This truck has everything you need to make a long trip very enjoyable. Fuel mileage is great - 22 MPG on highway. I have owned the truck for 2 years and am the 2nd owner of the truck. The truck was purchased by the original owner in South Carolina. This truck has never had a 5th wheel. I used it to pull a 24-foot trailer and a race car for the last 2 seasons approximately 4,000 miles per year. It was garage kept when not in use. There is absolutely nothing that needs to be done to this truck. If you are going to use this truck to haul, 2 wheel drive gives you a much better ride and much better fuel mileage.
