This is a rare IKON Gold roadster. It is a California car that has lived here since new.This car was always garaged and drives very well.This 1973 SL is original and in excellent condition.The car was protected from outdoor sunlight so the paint and interior are in excellent condition.The car has low mileage (79,860 actual).There is no rust or body damage.The Ikon gold paint is perfect and is one of the most sought after finishes in the SL series.The car has never been in an accident. There is no sun damage or fading.This American spec car has the original small chrome bumpers and original chrome mag wheels. With the exception of some minor peeling on the chrome mags, all trim, bumpers and rubber are like new. The original black MB tex interior is in excellent condition.The seats have very little wear and no sun damage.The original carpets are well preserved.There is a very nice replacement radio and CD player and the automatic retracting antenna works..The black canvas soft top is in original condition with clear back and side windows.The hard top is also in excellent condition.The engine and transmission are extremely solid.The car has no exhaust ,oil,or any type of fluid leaks. The only mechanical issue is the air conditioner does not blow cold. Other than that everything operates well. This is a wonderful example of what is said will become the next Mercedes collectible.
