Vehicle Detail

I have a 2001 Limited Edition Mustang up for auction. It is a 3.8L, 6 cyl, AT with overdrive. It has cold A/C, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors and power drivers seat. It has a Kenwood AM/FM CD radio with remote. I have owned this car since July of this year. I had to take possession of this vehicle due to a family issue. I prefer my SUV, therefore I am not a car person. I have been driving it some and it runs and drives very well. It IS NOT your normal 6 cyl. It has factory dual headers/exhaust and a K&N Air Induction System as can be seen in the photos. It WILL get up and go when you ask it to. I have never seen a 6 cyl Mustang set up this way from the factory. INTERIOR: The interior is in great shape except for what looks like a couple of small cigarette burns in the passenger seat. The interior of the car DOES NOT smell like smoke. I do not smoke and the burns were there when I got the car. I believe they have probably been there for some time. Both power windows work well. The only exception is that the passenger side window gets caught on the upper door trim after the door has been opened and shut and it leaves a small gap sometimes.(pic) It looks like the trim has been bent down and just needs to be straightened out. The gap will close up though and doesn't stay that way. I just haven't had the time to fix it. The power door locks work but seem to be wearing out. Sometimes they work fine and sometimes I have to use the key to unlock the door. I did some research on this and found out it is a common problem but an easy fix. The air conditioning is cold and the heat is hot. It is missing one if the small trim rings from around the defrost vent on the drivers side of the dash.(pic) EXTERIOR: The exterior looks great and shines like new with few exceptions.. The tires are not a matching set of 4, but the front and back pairs do match. From what I can tell, 2 of the tires are less than 6 months old. Starting with the front, someone had put some 200 mph tape (duck tape) on the front bumper air ram. I took it off and found a crack in it.(pic) If you're not looking for it, you won't notice it. On the hood, there is one small chip out of the top of the faux air ram hood.(pic) On the passenger side, along the bottom side of the door, the ground effect has been scuffed up.(pic) Also on the passenger side, the remote mirror will not move up and down. I took this apart and found it to be missing a small part. The servo works fine though and you can hear it move inside the mirror. On the roof, it looks like some kid hopped up there and sat their bony butt down on it and left their impression.(pic) Once again, you really don't notice it unless you're looking for it. On the rear of the car the MUSTANG is reflective at night. During the day it looks grey/black, but at night when light hits it, it reflects bright white.(pic without flash) All the glass on the car is tinted and is free of any blemishes. MECHANICAL: The engine runs great and the automatic transmission shifts smooth. The battery is less than a year old. I have not noticed ANY fluid leaks of any kind. As I stated above, this car will come to life when you ask it to. It rumbles and sounds like a GT. All the components under the hood look good. Just normal wear for an almost 10 yr old car. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will try and answer them if I can. Like I said, I prefer my SUV and just don't need this car. I just ended up with it and would like to sell it. Local pickup is preferred, but I might be able to deliver it within a 200 miles radius (37814) depending on my schedule. I will NOT accept a personal check. All funds must clear my bank BEFORE I will release the car and title. Thanks for looking FYI: I believe that the AutoCheck history is BS. If you look at the mileage and dates it makes no sense. I have a print out on the car from my local dealership and I was told that most of the history was just from having the car title renewed or transferred. I know that I count as 1 owner and that the previous owner was a family member that I took the car from a month later, so there is 2. Then the original lease/rental and the first private owner would make 4. Then there is what looks like a transfer of cities within 7 months and a few thousand miles, then another within a month and less than 2000 miles. That would make it 6 owners instead of 8 and the one before me shouldn't even count because of the circumstances. Yes, I guess the mileage is a little high, but it was a rental/lease vehicle first and then a year and a half later they sold it at auction with over 31,500 miles on it so go figure. If you take the rest of the mileage and average it out it comes to less than 13,000 a year even though there were a couple of high mileage years. This car hasn't stayed in this good of shape for 10 years by being treated rough.
