Vehicle Detail

What we have here is a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 4 X 4 with the extended cab. This would make a great plow truck and winter is here !! I have many friends who plow for a living truly believe you should not plow with any truck below the 3/4 ton level. First of all the only reason I am selling my truck is because I have purchased a "newer" truck. My wife insisted I purchase a truck that looked a bit better and you never want to disappoint your wife !! Did not have to twist my arm !! Other than the appearance my newer truck has nothing on this truck. This truck is the Laramie SLE which was the top-of-the-line when new. I have owned this truck for approximately (3) years. I am very particular in regard to maintance for my vehicles. If the vehicle needs something it gets it. Most often I changed the oil, filter, and lubed the truck myself. I did this because I wanted to use the best oil additive available just as a added measure of protection. I personally believe if you use a good oil, great oil additive, and change the oil regularly your vehicle will run forever. I really have had no problems with this truck. Since I have owned the truck I have replaced the rear brake drums and shoes, replaced the 4 X 4 CV joints, one half shaft, and the battery. When I purchased the truck the radio was horrible so I had it replaced along with all the speakers. The radio is the Pioneer Premier single CD player with detachable face. I do not like getting into a cold truck so I had installed the remote start with keyless entry. The radio, speakers, and remote start were all installed by our local professional car audio installation center Horizon Audio. This is the heavy duty 3/4 ton truck with 4 X 4. The 4 X 4 works great with no issues. The automatic transmission shifts great at all the right points. The V-10 engine runs great with no engines noises or leaks. Just recently my headlights and heater blower stopped working so I took the truck to our local repair facility. The blower switch and headlight switch were both replaced. I had the oil changed while it was there so you do not have to worry about that for a few miles. Like I said if it needs something I get it done. Right now I am having some problem with the gas gauge. When you fill up the truck it shows full but when it gets down to about 3/4 full it will sometimes drop down to empty. It is not a problem for me because I just watch the odometer and I always keep the tank full most of the time anyway. Just wanted to mention this. As you can see in the pictures this is not the prettiest truck on the block but its appearance does not affect its performance. Simply put this is a work truck. The paint problems (fading) is a common Dodge Ram problem during this era. There is some rust as you see in the pics but overall is very solid. In other words there is no rust-thru but there is basic surface rust. The rear bumper is bent and dented and rusted. Again this does not effect anything except the appearance. There is a bit of damage in the rear corner of the bed and bumper. This happened in my driveway. I have provided some pics to show what I am talking about. Three of the tires will need replaced soon but one is brand new. The truck is equipped with the receiver-type hitch but you must supply the actual receiver because I am using this with the new truck. The interior is not great but again it is a work truck. The headliner is loose which again was a problem with this era of Dodge Rams. The seat is torn from getting in and out and the carpet is badly stained but I never cared because then I never had to worry about keeping it clean !! If you are looking for a great running solid heavy duty 4 X 4 truck then this is the truck for you. If you are looking for a pretty truck with no scratches, dings,or bruises, please look elsewhere. The reserve price is set considering the cosmetics and any small repairs that will need attention. This will make someone a good work truck. The truck runs just as good as a truck with many less miles. There are plenty of miles left in this truck !! There are plenty of pics because we want you to see what you are getting. Please remember this is a 3/4 ton 4 X 4 truck so the price is of course going to be higher than the light-duty 1/2 ton 4 X 4 truck. Thanks for looking and please ask questions before bidding. We reserve the right to end the auction early because it is for sale locally. Have a good day.
