VW new BEETLE GLS TDI DIESEL 50+ MPG not running N/R I was driving down the interstate and lost power. Car turns over but does not start. It did not throw a rod, but I have not had it inspected or checked out since towing it home. I decided to just sell it as it is and get it out of my garage since I have another car to drive. I suspect you will need to rebuild the motor, but I'm not sure and I am not a mechanic. Gets fantastic mileage (over 50 mpg and nearly 650 miles on a fillup) which is why I bought it for $7700 on here (ebay) just over 3 years ago when gas was $4.50 a gallon. I drive over 100 miles a day so this car saved me a lot of money the past 3 years. Has very nice and expensive custom aluminum rims and very nice tires that still have a lot life on them Cosmetically - you need to install a lower front spoiler. I ran up on some ice and cracked it so I took it off. The Air works but this summer the compressor or fan started rattling loudly when I turn the air on. When the fan is on it does not make any noise. Interior could use a good detailing. I'm selling it as is without any warranty of any sort to the HIGHEST bidder. Please DON"T ask me to end my auction early or ask me a million questions about it. I am an honest person and this is everything that I know about it.
