I am selling my '97 Saab 900SE The car has been my favorite car :-(, but unfortunately I do not need a car nor can I afford one. Since August of '07 I have owned this car from 99,000 miles on up. I used this car to commute 70 miles one way to the airport for work...so there are long healthy miles on this car!!!! I changed oil religiously every 3000 mi with mostly Amsoil 10w30 syn. (amsoil reccomends10w30 opposed to car's 5w30 requirements) Synthetic oil is suggested by saab to use due to high temperatures. The car most recently has had Coil Cassette replacement 265.00 New tires with allignment 500.00 Aug 2010 New exhaust from Cat and back $$$ Aug 2010 Head gasket replacement $1300.00 Jan 2010 New water pump o2 sensors air idle control valve 400.00 new cabin air filter etc etc etc with many receipts to prove!!! MECHANICALLY IT is GREAT Car has been smoked in with one noticeable burn in back seat about the size of a nickel, and it also has a noticeable dent on the passenger front door as in pictures I have noticed a break noise ( non squealing nor does it affect performance). I had the mechanic look at it last week while the car was in the shop and he said the breaks were fine Overall car is in better than normal condition cosmetically for its age and mileage....It was my baby....I had hopes of driving it to 1million miles someday and just keep repairing as I went, but it was of course a far cry..... The rear passenger door I also have locked ...the mechanism works to open lock windows etc, but when opened it is difficult to get to stay shut. so I disconnected the door handle. I have noticed a break noise ( non squealing nor does it effect performance). I had the mechanic look at it last week while the car was in the shop and he said the brakes were fine(caliper slide sticking??) Overall car is in better than normal condition cosmetically for its age and mileage....It was my baby....I had hopes of driving it to 1million miles someday and just keep repairing as I went, but it was of course a far cry.....
