Here we have an unusual, somewhat rare and extremely CUTE little pick up. This was Datsun's third series of pick up trucks, setting the template for the rest of them with a torsion bar front suspension that remained fundamentally unchanged (and partially interchangeable) for the next 30 years. Besides being cute, it really is a truck with 1/2 ton capacity. The cab is straight, the bed is in pretty good shape considering it's single wall construction, and the only rust beyond a bit of surface scale is a dime sized hole under the battery tray. The doors open and close fine, the windows go up and down without complaint. The dash looks good and has an aftermarket 8-track stereo installed. All of the heater controls work, all of the knobs are there. The steering wheel does have a center button, it's just not installed. The seat has seen better days, and the door panels really want to be recovered. I bought it with a broken crank and case, purchased another engine to rebuild and with one thing or another never got around to it. There is no engine or gearbox fitted, but you get both engines - the broken one and the needs to be rebuilt one, and the gearbox. The Datsun 1200 cc E-series engine is a license built copy of the BMC B-Series, so you could fit one of those. I have a 1500 out of a Nash I'm listing separately, or you could even find an 1800 for a performance improvement. Engines and all the other bits are packed in plastic tubs for easy storage and transport Truck has a CLEAR TITLE. If arranging professional transport, be sure to be clear that the truck is NOT drivable and will have to be winched or pushed onto a truck or trailer.
