Okay. Here is your chance to own a very rare and extremely low mileage 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalve Euro Model with an extremely reasonable pricetag!
1985 was the last year for this vehicle and the most desired by many Ferrari Collectors. The last of the 308's created in response to drop in power (and popularity) of the injection model (240BHP, Euro Spec) has a 4 valve per cylinder head and more electronic gubbins. Qv's are probabbly the most popular followed by the Injection models.
Production of the 1985 Ferrari 308 GTSI QV included a mere 733 cars with approximately 92% being left hand drive and about 50% being exported to the US. One should know that even in the U.S. buyers will often see Ferraris advertised as "Euro Spec" like this one. This vehicle was properly federalized where they it was modified to meet U.S. Standards and changing speedometer to miles per hour from Kilometers, etc. In general, it is considered advantageous to get a "Euro" 308 because it will be lighter, it may have more power, or a dry sump engine, or a single distributor ignition.
The styling of the Euro models also is much more preferred over the other models. The Front of the 1985 QV model has an additional louver for ventilation of the radiator in the Hood between the Headlights. The Euro models also have a traditional Grill with a large chrome prancing horse. The Bumpers were also Short and Strut Style. This is the easiest way to pick out a QV from a distance. Louvers are all black, not body color. The turn signal lenses are part amber and part clear.
The rear of the 1985 QV Euro differ bcause the Blinkers(Amber Lenses) are always on the outside and Brake lights(Red) are on the inside.
Finished in most desired Ferrari's Corsa Red Exterior with Black Leather Interior. This 5 speed manual powered V8 3.0 Liter Ferrari drives just fantastic.
The motor starts up right away. Transmission and Clutch feel like they should. Suspension feels as tight as can be. This car drives straight as an arrow with no shimmying or abnormal characteristics. The tires look to be original.
What separates this vehicle from most is the incredible Exterior and Interior. I must say that the exterior is in just pristine condition. This vehicle was always garaged and it shows. Other then a few expected light road chips, the vehicle looks like it can be put back on the Showroom Floor. The owner of this vehicle who was the sole owner who purchased this vehicle brand new back in 1985. It has been a garage queen since. I brought this vehicle to a friend who works for Ferrari and both himself and my close buddy that owns a High End Bodyshop say the paint is in amazing condition and looks to be Mostly or All original. The Interior has never been restored and is in incredible shape. The only real wear to the interior is located on the Driver Seat Bolster. I contemplated having the bolster refinished or bolster replaced but I decided on leaving it original just how I got it. You will also notice that there is some damage on the passenger side dash on the leather. It is believed that there was a sticker or some patch of some sort that was taken off and the glue has left markings.
Unfortunately, I do not have any service history for this vehicle. It would be ideal and a wise investment to do its major service for the upcoming future.

Vehicle idles a little low at times but does not stall. I have noticed at cold start up, it seems to idle properly. It has also idled a lot better at warm temperature since I have driven it more and more from when it was traded in.
Cosmetic Blemishes

Other then these minor cosmetic blemishes mentioned above, I cannot find much to fault this beauty for. This vehicle is pre-owned and 26 years of age so please be realalistic and expect to find a normal road chip or nick here or there but no real surprises. I do my absolute best to point out any blemishes that a Buyer would want to know about before purchasing one of my vehicles. I can guarantee that the next purchaser of this vehicle is going to be extremely pleased and there cannot be much nicer ones around cosmetically.
