1979 Honda CBX

I am listing this cbx for a friend. It has been kept in a dry heated and cooled basement since 83. It is an extremely nice bike, never been down, and all the paint work looks like new. No scratches in tank, no rips or tears in seat. It is a 1979 model. It has had many upgrades as you can see, such as chrome engine mounts, chrome case guards, chrome chain guard, and a 6 into 1 kerker exhaust system. This is one mean machine. The bike was sent to tims international motorcycle shop in Atlanta GA in Sept of 03 for over 3000.00 worth of work done. Here is a list of what they did: aluminum fork brace, brake fluid change, kerker 6 into 1 exhaust system, jet kit stage III, front brake lines (3), rear brake line, swingarm bearing conversion kit, oil hose kit stainless steel braded, bowl gaskets, throttle cable, k&n filter kit, chrome motor mounts. Thirty one hundred dollars worth. That is just 1 reciept. I have all reciepts for everything done to this bike since 83. Has original owners manual and tool kit. Has battery tender pig tail also. Bike fires right up, and sounds good. Rides great, especially with the fork brace to stiffen up the front end and the swing arm bearing kit that eliminates the bushings. Nice tight feeling bike. The bike seems to be a little lean to me, at cruise with the choke off it has a stumble, with the choke half closed it runs great. Probably needs the carbs cleaned or syncronized or both. Bike charges well, everything on it works fine, trans, clutch work great. Tires have less than 1000 miles on them according to the records, so they look new. It does have a couple of small oil leaks, 1 from the trans area, maybe shifter shaft seal, the other looks like possible head or valve cover gasket. I have every part that was taken off the bike as well. I will get some pics loaded up of them . The original exhaust is in nice condition. The air filter box is complete and in mint condition with no cracks and the boots are nice and soft with all the original clamps. The exhaust is nice also, there are no dents that I can see, there is 1 small scrape on the bottom of one of the outside header pipes, very very minor rust on 4 of the header pipe insides. Really no rust other than minor surface rust on the insides of the mufflers themselves. The outsides and backs look great. All the rest of the parts are there that were taken off like the motor mounts etc. There is a jet kit that has some new jets and the originals also. I WILL NOT SELL ANY OF THE PARTS SEPARATE, THEY ARE NOT MINE SO DON'T ASK.
