Vehicle Detail

This is a no reserve auction at a ridiculously low starting price! Jay has already been down the aisle and now Monty is motioning to Carol Marol standing in front of Door #3 for the Big Deal of the Day...it's a 1964 Mercury MontClair 2 door with a matching Glastron Futura V150 with a 100HP Mercury outboard! The Art Deco inspired MontClair is one of ~3000 2 doors made that year, an even rarer Mercury due to the pillarless side windows. This Breezeway is in great condition with some rust showing along the rear quarters and top edges, but very solid throughout. Mechanically, this car is capable of daily driving duties with new brakes, battery, exhaust, starter, u-joints front and rear, filters/fluids, and rebuilt 2 bbl carb. The Ford 390 big block V-8 starts effortlessly and runs like a sewing machine returning around 20mpg on recent highway road trips. Mileage is exempt but the odo shows 70737 and might be accurate. She's finished in the original Peacock color with white interior. The interior is complete and functional but could use a dye job and new headliner. Incredibly, all electrics work after 46 years including gauges, interior/exterior lights, fender mounted turn indicators and most importantly, the electric Breezeway rear window. The ultimate in "260" air conditioning with the rear and all 4 pillarless windows down! The 17" Ford Torque Thrust wheels give the car the beginnings of a Rat Rod look. The rubber is in good condition but some wear indicates the need for a front end freshening/alignment. Also comes with original hubcaps, wheels and tires. This is a great piece of history that can fit 15 of your closest friends in the trunk for a quick jaunt down to the local drive in! Documentation of ~the last 10 years of servicing included. Check out the pictures as the infamous Cows enjoyed the "Blue Whale" just last year at the Sebring 12 hour race. As an added bonus, I am including my 1964 Glastron Futura V150, which I had planned to tow to car shows as a unique display of days gone by (car still needs hitch). Too many projects and family's lack of interest are the cause for sale. The boat is previously restored and in good overall condition. Hull is excellent, chrome has some pitting, floor is soft in rear half requiring replacement, bimini canvas needs replaced and boat needs a battery. Boat was last run one year ago and the engine was strong. A similar classic Glastron was the basis for the Bat Boat from the Batman Movie of the day. Features include spotlight, full instrumentation, wraparound two position windscreen and uprated 100 HP Mercury outboard added by the original owner back in 1965. The boat is in light blue which comes close to the MontClair's peacock shade and includes a TeeNee style trailer in excellent condition with recent tires and spare. For the history buffs, there is some incredible original paperwork included featuring the original bill of sale, Mercury outboard owner's manual and a comprehensive early servicing. Car/Boat package is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. No warranties and shipping is high bidder's responsibility. Jupiter is located in Palm Beach County, Florida. Again, this is a no reserve auction to encourage spirited bidding. Questions welcome.
