                                      1983 VW WESTFALIA ONLY 71K Summary    This is your chance to own a Classic VW Westfalia. Travel with confidence and style in this head turner. This low mileage Westfalia has been very well cared for and maintained.    This Westfalia is a blast to own and drive; driving down the road people wave at you like your in a parade and at the campground you would be amazed at how many people stop, slow down, or on several occasions have taken photos. The westy is great for car camping, road tripping, and tailgating it is very easy to handle as it's no bigger then most SUV's and even smaller then some. Yet has a full 15' of living space, has space for all your gear, cooking, running water, food, refrigeration and can still sleep 4.    The rear heat exchanger has kept us toasty in 10º weather, and the A/C been a retreat in 100+.  The A/C is exhausted via ventilation flap under the wheel well, and drains below.  The flap is closed when off and open via the air pressure. I feel really confident driving it as we have had very few problems with it, have taken several 500 mile road trips with it with no problem.  It's so much fun to drive I often take it out vs. my daily driver.    Known issues: Rear hatch does not lock, some of the paneling is flaking off; mainly in the storage areas., other major areas have been replaced. Shocks may need replacing, rides great for us but sometimes the front passenger side sqeaks like sex on a spring mattress. The battery level indicator by the stove and water tank level always reads 1/2 (Yellow) even though the battery is only a year old and reads 12.9v. The hand clock on the dash does not keep time. The External propane tank has been removed (rusted). Purchased a 2 stage LP Regulator for it but for the very few times we didn't have electrical or used the cooktop we simply hooked up a small external 16oz canister. The original tank easily weighs 60 + lbs and comes with the van. The Circus Tent has rot on the canvas, could easily be repaired though. A dent in the rear bumper, and there are some small nicks and scatches on the body but for a vehicle going on 28 years old looks great. And that is it.    I included tons of photos as I hate it when people try to sell a car with 4 small photos, this westy has nothing to hide, bid with confidence.
