Vehicle Detail

1967 Dodge Charger, 440, 727, 3.55 SureGrip rear. Almost everything on this car has been rebuilt or replaced: rebuilt 440 w/under 2000 miles(1969 hp block, Comp Cams XE hi energy cam & springs, forged steel crank, LY rods, Mopar Perf. bearings, Sealed Power rings, TRW 1192 forged pistons 9.5 to1, 906 heads, 3 angle valve job w/hardened seats, Cloyes dbl roller timing chain, Melling hv oil pump, Milodon oil pan) rebuilt 727 Torqueflight transmission w/ new stock convertor(also under 2000 miles), new Holley 750 mech secondaries carb, new fuel line carb to tank, Torker 2 manifold, Hooker Headers, recored radiator, steering box, alternator, power steering pump, power hoses, battery, new engine bay wiring harness, starter, GT Qualifier tires all replaced at rebuild, rebuilt front end w/PST stock kit & KYB shocks, manual disc brakes and drums, new pads, newer exhaust 2 1/2 inch to axle, 2 1/4 out rear w/Magnaflow mufflers & chrome tips, replaced gas tank and filler hoses, new upholstery (Year One, correct year), new carpet, headliner clean, door panels clean but a few cracks, new windshield, new weatherstripping, new taillight lens (goes for over $500 in Year One cat.), bumpers rechromed, some trim peices rechromed and some is still pitted, rotating headlight motors there but not working, can be fixed though, I just turn lights manually by hand or leave them turned out. Car was painted about 3 1/2 years ago, it was taken to bare metal, any rust (not much) removed filled in w/lead and new metal welded in. The problem now is that the car was somehow prepped incorrectly because there is rust making tiny bumps under the paint. It's only surface rust due to the incorrect prep, but I would definately remove the paint, reprime and repaint. On the plus side, all the bodywork is done and the little bumps just started to appear this last year. Floors looked good and were painted with POR15, driver side had a small plate welded in floor, not the best job but I left it because it felt solid. Body is straight and paint job looks good until you get close. Other than the paint the major thing left to be done is to resto the dash-put in a heater core, ( the blower still works) connect the speedo, replace the gas guage and tach, a glovebox, the voltmeter still works. The Electro Luminescence lighting in the dash still works, which is a big plus because they are expensive to replace. It also needs the horns, relay and ground. The new engine bay wiring harness whould have the correct remaining wiring. I also have the seatbelts and will try to put them in.I would also put in some insulation under the carpet. I have the shop manual, wiring diagrams and extra parts I will include. The car is straight, fast, runs well and has most of the expensive and difficult things done. Literally every time I leave the house someone is complimenting this car, you just don't see them around much. I'm leaving the price low because of the paint issue. It was originally a white 383 4spd car. I still have the 4spd floor pedals if you want them. Clean CA title in hand. Please contact me with any questions. Local buyers contact me if you want to see the car first.
