Vehicle Detail

This one year bike was produced for 1953 only, and came fitted with some, if not all of the race kit. It's the 500cc all alloy engine, with all the major parts, and is fairly complete, so you wont have to spend time looking for non existent parts. It comes with a Canadian title (ownership). The mag gives a big fat spark, and engine, gearbox, clutch etc. are all free. The cylinder has had repairs to some fins, and is either standard or +10. The head has chips from one vertical fin on both sides, and I know the valve seats are badly pitted. It has both side and rear stand. Carb setup will need the thick spacers for the manifold. I can supply a source. The oil tank is the correct one gallon type, with froth tower, but is not technically correct since it will need the four screw holes adding for the remote float bracket. The gearbox will certainly need a new kickstart quadrant. The frame does not have missing lugs, and the ones for the race kit footrests can be seen in the pictures. All in all, it's a perfect project for this winter. The only thing not in the pictures is a NOS horn push I have for the handlebars. The headlamp reflector is off a car, and is there just to fill the hole. I have attempted to be clear in the description, but it is just a project, and nowhere near ready to run, so please bid knowing it will need a total restoration of all components. I will ship world wide, and will go the extra yard to find the cheapest way, including building a crate if required, (you pay for materials). Forward Air supply their own crate for deliveries to the US, and total will be about $700. International shipping will cost more, and usually only to your nearest seaport, leaving you to arrange local pickup. Payment is by direct bank transfer or certified cheque only, within 48 hours of receiving your total invoice. On Oct-18-10 at 06:13:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note, the rear fender is a repop. I had forgotten this point when listing the bike.On Oct-18-10 at 11:05:58 PDT, seller added the following information: The paint is not original, just spraybombed to prevent rust
