1973 Volvo 1800 ES. The odometer reads 32,819 miles however with a certainty the mileage is greater than this. That is why I have put 100,000 miles on the listing. The previous owner told me he had installed a replacement engine in it, but I don't remember the specifics. The engine however runs very nicely and starts effortlessly every time. The transmission is a 4 speed manual with electric overdrive. The overdrive is fully functional and works flawlessly. I purchased the car as a hot rod project for my daughter and I. Our plan was to remove the engine and transmission and install a Toyota 4AGE 20 valve silver top engine and a Toyota 5 speed transmission and create for ourselves a little hot rod. Shortly after purchasing the car and and the above mentioned components my daughter found a boyfriend fell in love and got married. The car has set in my pole barn ever since. I have no desire to continue with the project and have other things I would like to do so I am selling the car now. You can find the other items on my other listings. The car has some rust as can be seen in the photos, the undercarriage has no major rust and no rust through from my observations. I have the front and rear bumpers for the car and will include them with the purchase, but I will not reinstall them, I will put them inside the car for shipment. The dash board vinyl is severely cracked and will need repair or replacement. The tires are new and have less than 100 miles on them. If the car is purchased at the full asking price I will deliver it for free to areas within 200 miles of my address, after payment has been made in full. Any question please ask. I have been asked about the heat and air conditioning for this car, the car was factory equipped with A/C and the compressor is still intact, however the system will most probably need to be recharged. I haver never operated the A/C because the heat and air ducting was not attached securely and I removed it to keep it from becoming damaged or difficult to reinstall when the time came. As a result warm air regularly entering the cabin. The vents will need to be manually closed if the car is to be operated in a warm climate before the air and heat are repaired.
