2002 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe !! This Stratus R/T was used for commuting (hence the miles). This R/T runs fantastic - plenty of power. Starts right up, idles and accelerates smooth, engine is whisper-quiet until you hit the gas and has a sports car tone to the engine rev. The RPMs spool up and down quickly - engine is very responsive. This is not your run of the mill Stratus, especially the 4dr,Base ,ES,SE, or SXT models! the R/T is unique in it's performance, body lines, instrumentation & suspension. This R/T has it's own 3.0L V6 drivetrain that is not offered in the other Stratus models. The Stratus shifts very smooth & is fun and easy to drive! Mechanically, the R/T has brand new front brakes, less than 10k mi on rear brakes, a fresh alignment & inspection. The tires are near new - 2 are about 95% tread, the other 2 about 65%. The tires are an agressive tread designed for snow (similar to old-school snow tread) called GlacierGrip by Mastercraft. Although a very strong tire, I will say that they are very noisy going down the road in good weather. I personally wouldn't use them in the off season, but if the tread hum doesn't bother you, then the tires have a ton of life left and grip the road hard! When the front-end alignment was done, the hubs were inspected and there is nothing wrong except the tires are too aggressive. It could use shocks soon. The clutch has about 25k miles on it, shifts great! Cosmetically, the R/T looks phenomenal! The paint finish is smooth as glass and is not a bright/stone white, it has Pearl effect to it. There is one crease in the upper DR door that I couldn't get to show in a picture - it is very unnoticeable unless you're looking down the side of the vehicle, but it is there. It does NOT deter from the appearance of the car. There are a couple normal use paint chips here and there, the bottom part of the front air dam below the bumper has 3 cracks in it (from parking spot stops - car does sit low in the front), normal wear on the front bumper from commuting, one small paint bubbling at the front edge of the windshield/roofline less than the size of a dime (insignificant, but trying to disclose everything). Polished wheels look great like chrome! Interior is in good condition - no rips,cracks or tears. The rear seats,headliner and trunk could use detailed - but the rest of the interior looks great! Everything is in very good working order - all lights, controls, power options,etc work- nothing worn! A/C & heat works great! Infinity sound system sounds fantastic! This car is very easy to drive - don't let the shifting deter you! - even a great car to learn to drive on. Fantastic sporty Stratus....lots of compliments on this R/T! If you are looking for an affordable sporty car -this IS IT! However, keep in mind, it is a USED car. It has normal wear and tear but still looks and runs great! If you are expecting a brand new car, please go look at a brand new car. This R/T was $26k new and is priced at a fraction of that, everything has been considered for pricing in it being used. No worries on this R/T -very reliable and quite the runner & looker. The car needs nothing but a new owner (and maybe a summer/fall/spring set of tires!) - the mileage is not an issue - it runs fresh & strong. I believe the new buyer will be extremely pleased with their purchase. I have priced the R/T very low, so please no haggling, it is well worth more than the Buy-It-Now price - feel free to compare price vs. other Stratus R/T coupes - you won't find one cheaper.
