This was my father's car, and he was a perfectionist. It's had nothing but Mobil 1 in the engine since he purchased it in 1992 if memory serves me correctly. The body and engine are in beautiful condition, with the exception of a couple of small spots near the door trim, which should be taken care of before they become major. The tires only have about 1200 miles on them, and the front brakes have been redone. I've was saving the car for my 16 year old son, however his actions (or lack thereof) of late have left me with the impression that he needs to focus on other things, not a car. It has a new (yesterday) battery with an 18 month free replacement, new Prestone antifreeze, and a fresh Mobil 1 oil change. The car starts right up, does not burn oil at all, and has had the transmission fluid and filter changed last year. The service department uses the reverse flush method, which changes ALL of the fluid, which includes the torque converter. They insisted that the reverse flush negates the necessity of changing the trans filter.........I made them change the filter anyway. Now for the bad......the Bose sound system quit working, which I hear is typical. There is a piece of door molding missing from the driver door, and the window motor on the driver door works, but makes a 'thump thump" when the window goes up or down. I do have the replacement part in the car. Anyone handy can replace it. I don't have the patience, and apparently my son is not motivated to do so. The brakes have just been gone through with new brake lines, and the front rotors and calipers were replaced less than 1000 miles ago.
