1961 MGA ROADSTER This is a wonderful car of which I am proud to be the second owner. The milage is unknown however the first owner estimated it to be 80,000, but this is only a best guess. The car was originaly purchased from Allen's Imports in Cedar Rapids Iowa and I have the original Allen's emblem that came with the car. The car runs and drives great, shifting is smooth going up but second will grind a bit if you try to shift down from third to second above 30 miles per hour. I have found this to be similar in other MGA's. The car does have a few oil drips, as they all do. The only damage history I am aware of occured in 2009 when I was backed into, the grill and grill surround as well as front bumper were damaged. The damage was replaced or repaired when the car was repainted. The car is in overall beautifull condition having been repainted in its original color , old english white in January of 2010. The engine bay is emaculate and the boot is painted and carpeted to match the interior. The windshield is original and as such has some pitting and blemishes. Everything on this car is in good working order with the exception of the odometer which does not work accurately, it would need to be rebuilt or replaced. All parts utilized on this car are Moss Motors parts starting in 2006 and include but are not limited to, new front bumper and grill, complete interior including, dash and cockpit rails. wood and covering, door panels and side panels, complete red carpet kit including trunk, complete seat restoration including original type padding and refinished frames and new wood etc. New fuel lines, clutch lines, brake lines, wheel cylinders and clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder rebuilt. Cap, rotor, coil, and wire set. Water pump, belt, and radiator hoses. Rebuild carburetors and new heat shield. All rubber parts replaced, brake, clutch, and gas pedal pads, all grommets, all headlight and turn signals and brake light rubber, fender piping etc. New headlights and dimmer switch. New black three window top, top frame restored to original color and condition, wood replaced and sealed in spar varnish. New heater motor, heater rebuilt and installed. All Parts recipes and restoration pictures come with car as well as a restoration manual and shop manual. This is a car that will get plenty of attention and allow you to drive and enjoy a classic.
