Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1986 Mercedes Benz 560 SL convertible with both tops. It's anthracite (darker charcoal colour) grey with a burgundy interior. The leather seats got wet so the seats need covering. I was going to cover them with the OEM vinyl, which is a lot less than leather and is actually more durable. The dash has the regular cracks in it and it also needs the rear carpet set. Front carpet set is fine. It does come with front and rear carpet mats. The odometer stopped working at around 197K. That mileage is actually just getting broken in for the overhead cam Mercedes V-8s. The air conditioner doesn't blow cold air, but the compressor seems to work. Finally, the center console needs re-veneering. I think the afore mentioned is the only downside to this car. On the upside, the body is great with nice paint. It has the european headlights and Becker radio (although currently disconnected). It also has the owner’s manual, original jack, OEM spare rim, and first aid kit. It's been maintained by a Mercedes Benz mechanic. Exterior, the car looks great and really shines when waxed. Interior, well, I've mentioned that. Mechanically, this car is perfect. It can be an everyday driver and will outlast anything made by the US, Japan, etc... I'm asking less than the NADA low blue book value because of the mentioned flaws plus, I have something else I want to do with the money and don’t need the entire amount. If I fixed those, I'd have to ask for the NADA mid value, at least. Low retail value is over $8,500.00. I figure a low enough price, someone would snatch it up and I’d have the money for my other interest. It’s that simple. Anyway, now for the replaced items: Fuel Distributor, Fuel Injectors, Radiator, Water Pump, Belts, Shocks, Tie Rods (and Ends), Front Bearings (and Races), New Brake Rotors and Brake Pads. PLUS, it has only seen Mobile 1 Synthetic. Now, you need to know this: I’ve offered this car before on e-Bay and it did sell for much more than what I’m asking. The problem was; the guy who purchased it paid for it with a forged check, and it was by the grace of God that this was discovered before he could pick up the car.
