This is a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Vehicle was purchased new by the City of Milford DE and used as a marked patrol vehicle. After use as a marked car, the vehicle was un-marked and used by a staff officer as an assigned vehicle. The car has dents and dings as would be expected with a vehicle used in police service. The vehicle has holes drilled in floor and dash where equipment was installed. This particular vehicle was involved in a collision shortly after it was purchased. It was repaired and taken out of service as a patrol vehicle and assigned to a member of the Chief's Staff. Vehicle has good paint, good tires, starts and runs well and shifts through all gears. There is a slight slip in the transmission which occurs intermittently. This was diagnosed by the Ford Repair Technicians as being caused by the transmission yoke not properly aligning with the engine as a result of the collision the vehicle was involved in. They were unable to resolve the issue and the vehicle has been driven with this condition for several years with no incidents or breakdown(s). Vehicle has valid Delaware Inspection through DEC 2010. Vehicle is being retired due to the purchase of new equipment. There is no warranty expressed nor implied and the vehicle must be paid for and picked up within 14 days after close of auction. Vehicle is sold as-is. Police vehicles are routinely serviced by a city employed technician every 200 hours when they are assigned to patrol. After re-assignment, they are serviced every 3,000 miles. Warranty and complicated technical issues are resolved by the local Ford Dealership in Milford. Vehicle can be inspected at 400 NE Front Street, Milford DE 19963.
