Vehicle Detail
For auction is my 64 Corvette convertible, it is a very nice driver quality car and with a new paint job and a few other small restorations will be show quality. The paint on the car is OK for a driver but is old, has some cracks and chips. I have owned the car for 4 years. This car runs and drives very well, brakes are new and work well, no pulling or leaks, stearing is tight, front end alignment is good and tires are in good condition. As far as I can tell everything on the car is correct for a 64 except the fan blade and air cleaner, however I have what I believe to be the correct air cleaner. The car is very complete except for the chrome ignition covers as far I can tell. The convertible top, seat covers and coushins, door panels, carpet, dash cover and wire harness have all been replaced. Everything works on the car. The frame is solid but has never been restored. The front suspension has all new bushings and tie rod ends. This motor is not numbers matching how ever it is the correct block and date code for this car. The block I put in is stock bore with almost no ridge on the cylinder walls, it was honed and has new pistons, rings, all new bearings, the crank shaft was ground, new cam and lifters, and new oil pump. The motor runs very very good, no noise, smoke, starts right up, idles smooth and has good oil pressure when worm. The transmission is correct for the car and was told by the previous owner that it is the original transmission. It had a loud bearing on the input shaft so I had it rebuilt.. As well as a new stock clutch and pressure plated kit. All work very good. The rear end I changed form 411 gears to 308 to make the car more driveable on the open road, I put all new bearings in. I also put new universal joints in the stub shaves.
