Vehicle Detail

1985 BMW 325e Straight Body 5 Speed NO RUST NO RESERVE 1985 BMW e30 325e in good shape. This car has a clean and straight body. This is a southern car, never been above South Carolina, so no rust, ever! I own many older BMW's, 11 to be exact, and I originally bought this car to do an engine swap. I do not see that happening any time soon so I am offering it for sale. So many people in my opinion make the wrong mistake when doing an engine conversion or building a car, they look for the cheapest and ugliest cars and sometimes even salvage title cars. I do not understand that, if you want to put time and money in something why not start with a good solid foundation? Anyway, this is the route I was going. I found a good solid rust free car to start the build. The body is in great shape, you never see e30's in this shape for this price. I have always had coupes and wanted to build a 4 door and was lucky to find this one not too far away. All body panels appear to be original, this early they never stamped them with VIN stickers. Every panel lines up like it should and the paint is even all the way around. The tires are brand new and on the original bottle caps. The inside could use a good cleaning, I have never detailed the car because I was going to do all new interior, it will clean up. The dash has a dash cap to hide the cracks, looks good and has been on for a while. The clutch feels great and does not grind in any gear. There are no warning lights on in the cluster and everything functions with the exception of the odometer, common problem. I do not know what the real miles are, never really bothered me because some that I own have well over 200k and are cleaner then those with a fraction of the miles. The car starts with a turn of the key. The only thing I did under the hood was change the radiator and fan clutch, I have not done anything else to the engine. It has been sitting a while, but driving it this last week it seems to run better every time I hop in it. It needs to be driven. The engine bay is clean, it looks as if the top end was rebuilt at some point because it is all too clean. A few things the car will need in the future are a drivers side window regulator, you can here it move, but the window does not. It feels like a differential mount or maybe a guibo starting to go, both are cheap and less then $40. These are the 2 things I would do sooner then later. I have not been under the car or really inspected it besides driving it. If you have never owned an e30 they are a blast to drive. This is a used car and I am sure it may need other things then what I have mentioned, this is used and not new. If you want a new car then go to a dealership. If you want a fun little car for not a lot of money then this is for you. I always have people asking me if they can drive this car home, I never know what to say. Sure, it runs fine around town but I have never been on a road trip in the car so your guess is as good as mine. These days I have everything shipped, it is inexpensive and quick. I have a company I have been using for years, ask me for a quote if you are out of state. Of course the car is sold as is. I urge you to come and see it or have it inspected so you know what you are buying. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Good luck and bid away!
