Vehicle Detail
I gotta relist it again! If you want the best car out there here it is.I have looked at all the convertibles and most of the hardtops here and this is the best convertible period. So what if you spend $1000-1500 to replace the motor. It will cost much more than that to replace the interiors and rust and paint on these other cars with 150K+ miles on them. These cars arent getting any younger and fewer good ones are left everyday.Twenty years went by fast! Its a fact.Look at these pictures again and if you want anything specific just ask.**You are buying this vehicle AS IS. Full disclosure has beeen made here both in description and in the pictures.I will require a $500.00 non refundable deposit by USPS MO within 48 hours of auction close.Cash is the only method of payment that will be accepted in person when you pick the vehicle up.If you cannot do this please do not buy the vehicle. This is a really nice car that I bought to drive and enjoy.I had one like it new and really had fun in it.This one is in excellent condition, especially considering it is 20 years old.It has the 305 Tuned Port Injection engine and automatic transmission.46,xxx miles. The interior is perfect. No rips or tears on the seats and the carpet is excellent. The dash pad has a small place on each corner on the underside and cannot be seen unless you realy get down and look for it, but no cracks on the top from the defroster or speaker openings..I just installed a new Kenwood CD player and replaced the terrible factory speakers while I was at it.Other than that the interior is completely stock. The drivers side door pin needs replaced and does drag a little bit.The top is in really good condition as well as all the rubber pieces. The exterior has been repainted at some time and is a good job.I wont call it the best but its a real good job.The wheels are in good condition and have newer tires with deep tread on them. They are mismatched with Coopers on the front and Sonar on the rear, many, many miles left in them. Its a really good looking classic car.Only 1294 convertibles were made in 1990 and it will most certainly be a collectible and worth considerably more in the years ahead. No rust whatsoever on this car.Look at the history as well on the vehicle report. The engine has a noise in it that I really believed was a valvetrain noise?I have been told its a wrist pin, or a rod?Its not knocking terribly at this point. The car does not display any codes.. THIS CAR WILL START AND DRIVE..I have not had it looked at and frankly am not ready to put any more money into it.I feel like someone that has the mechanical ability could fix it without much effort.I have had two arm surgeries and will require rehabilitation on my right arm(Im right handed too)I have zero strength left and will have to rebuilt that back. So,I cannot work on this car for the foreseable future.I would be able to repair it at some point in the future but I dont know when that will be? I would rather just let someone fix it now and enjoy it this summer instead of me waiting till I am able.I would plan on towing it to be safe. This car will bring $15K with the motor in good shape.I have well over what I am asking in it.So, my loss is your gain. These are a hard car to find in this condition..You can usually find a complete motor for under $800 if you had to go that route.A 305 short block would be the logical fix. They can be found on Ebay and have a warranty. This would be a great Sunday cruiser or teens car since its not a hot rod.Call me at 859-three six one-9444 or email me at rext269REMOVETHIS@aol.com and I can tell you all about it. . *** I believe the mileage to be correct. In the vehicle report it shows an emmission failure on 5/3/2001 then a pass on 6/1/2001. This was at 41,000 miles. I believe it is correct because the car has a new[looking] catalytic converter. This would have made sense in my opinion if it was replaced at that time and justify the mileage till now at 46,000.So for what its worth thats my opinion.. ***I do realize when the car was painted the IROC decals were put in the wrong position.I do have new decals to replace these and reposition correctly. I also have the original cassette deck and original speakers.Neither the car nor the harness was cut or spliced to hook these up.The radio works fine,I did not have a cassette to try that. The speakers were crap.Thats why it was all replaced. The car was not running when the pictures were taken.Thats why the oil, battery, tach guages were not reading where they should be.
