Manufactured on December 18, 1962 this Jaguar E-type Fixed-head coupe, left-hand drive has seen many miles since. Originally Opalescent Gold Sand with a Light Tan interior there is much work to do to make this dreamer's project a reality. But what a dream, this being rated as one of top sportscars of all time, this Series I being by far the most desireable of all. Though so much of the car is gone, a few things are worth noting. Any restoration of a car that could be worth over 70K would entail buying new chrome bits, glass, wiring harnesses, the front space frame (around 1400 new), interior and rubber regardless. And with the purchase of a used Jaguar Mark II for another $1000, the correct 3.8 liter engine, a manual trany and all the right gauges would be in your hands. What is included is the main tub (requiring what all need, new floors and rockers and trunk but has a very solid trany tunnel), the hood (VERY rough but a new one is $14,000; a patient man could...), a very good and clean independent rear suspension (shows 46/13) from a Series II, bucket seats, a steering wheel and collumn, assorted parts (brake booster, engine mounts, drive shaft) and much of the wiring harness. And for what is missing? What you see is what you get. For American buyers, I will deliver to the US border at Buffalo, NY for a nominal fee. It is pretty easy to do as I brought some of these parts over already.
