Vehicle Detail

This bike starts easy, runs well and ready to ride. Front tire is new. A good fit for a rider moving up from their first bike. Great for trail riding. Not a racer. On Oct-06-10 at 18:34:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I can tell you that this bike runs well and shifts good. You could put it on the trailer for a riding trip today. At the same time, the price is low due to it's age and some work that the buyer will probably want to do after purchase. I would say a rear tire, wheel bearings, and adjusting the valve clearance would be low cost improvements that I would do right away if I were to purchase this bike myself. It's a good deal for what I think is a reasonable expection to sell a running bike for less than $500. On Oct-08-10 at 15:54:03 PDT, seller added the following information:Dear scknife, It does not smoke and yes it runs and shifts fine and the motor is very strong. The engine does not knock, but I would adjust valve clearance to eliminate "ticking" that goes along with normal need to keep valve clearance adjusted on these overhead cam bikes. There's nothing wrong with the bike to keep it from being ridden right away. I mention the bearings since the bike does not have a "tight, new feel"...because it's old. New bearings would tighten it right up. I want whomever buys the bike to be satisfied, and I'd be glad to have further conversation with you if you choose. (704) 806-9997....and I'll tell you what: If I have time this evening, I'll see if I can adjust out the slight "ticking" for you....or whomever wins. Oh by the way. I purchased this bike for my daughter who is moving up from an 80 2-stroke....and she's decided she prefers 2-stroke, so we're turning this one around before we get another. Thanks for your interest. -Dave. - hurricanehokieOn Oct-08-10 at 18:57:59 PDT, seller added the following information:This will be the last update: I adjusted the valve clearance and the ticking sound is still there. It doesn't seem to be a problem, but I do not know where it's coming from. I took a picture - you can see the inside of top end is very clean and is getting good lubrication!
