Please view video off the bus at the this link..... - 1968 Volkswagen westfiaia pop top bus, clear title, original key, 1600cc dual port, clean bus... No reserve auction!! - MECHANICAL---- It runs and drives great. All off the outside electrical lights etc.. all work properly. The brakes are in proper working order, the suspension feels proper and it handles fine with no swaying. The speedo reads 43,000 so I would assume it has rolled over. It shifts through all 4 gears just fine, cruises at 70mph with no problems. No oil leaks, or other leaks. The bus feels like it has been taken care off and maintained through its lifetime. - INTERIOR--- I customized some off the interior myself. The previious owner had removed most off the interior, and I had Westfalia parts to use for the customazation. I placed the sink and ice box directly behind the drivers seat for more room and accessability. I bought brand new Cherry Veneer for the closet on the back passenger side. I am a carpenter and built the closet myself. I made it shorter with custom doors, which makes the rear right window visible. It worked out very well, looks great and is brand new and solid.. It has a two ac plug ,1200w power invertor with an extera battery back up, to run your TV, or computer. It comes with a new sony cd player/stereo with remote, so you can adjust the the stereo from the back or out side of the camper. Speakers are also brand new with 6.5" x 4way . Stereo not showin in the photos. The headliner looks good overall, although there are some minor blemishes mostly in rear drivers side, although still shows pretty good. ThAe cargo area has new carpet and plywood flooring under the carpet. All the wood panels throughout the cargo area have all been replaced, except for the one small one. The new ones have not been stained. The back seat looks good but does have a couple small tears on the sides. The driver and passenger seats look good also but do have a couple off small holes, maybe due to a loos spring. The door panels are in nice shape as well as the kick panels. All the gauges and etc... look good and work properly. The turn signal lever must be held in position to operate. Overall the inside looks really well with just minor flaws. --- EXTERIOR--- The outside looks nice also with some minor flaws here and there and some touch up spots have been done. The pop top operates as it should and the yellow canvas looks good. The screen is missing and the canvas that secures the yellow canvas when in the lowered position has rips. There are two rust spots in the wheel wells that are very minor, see photos. The bumpers are straight, no dents, and paint shows well. The tires have real good tread, although there are very minor check marks on the sides off the tires. The drivers door is a little sticky, and the rest are all solid. The body and paint looks good with some flaws here and there and a couple of rust spots on the under side see photos. - OVERALL-- The bus shows nicely, runs great, drives solid, custom new closet, brand new stereo and speakers, rare pop top, clear title, etc... Just needs minor work to complete, like putting in the stereo, screen on pop top, etc... all minor or just cosmetic things. . - TERMS/SHIPPING/ETC... Payment must be made within 3 days by paypal, or bank wire, prefer bank wire, so there are no paypal fees. If you would like to pay another way you must ask before bidding. Bus must be picked up within 2 weeks after auction ends, unless discussed prior to bidding. I can get a rate for west coast shipping if you are interested.. Check with transport companies, or go on to www.uship.com you can get great rates on there. If you live far away you most likely have items shipped right to your door for cheaper than you could come and pick it up. After travel time, time off work, gas money both ways etc.. it is cheaper just to have someone pick it up from me and bring it right to you with no worries.
