Beautiful vintage R50 in perfect running order. 44K miles shows on the clock (actual miles since inception as the prior owner insisted on keeping the clock accurate after rebuilding) but the bike has only 3 years and about 2,050 miles since the restoration. Mechanicals were rebuilt by Moody Cycle in Indiana and starts on the first kick every time and runs like a sewing machine. I purchased the bike from the second owner 2 years ago. I is tuned to perfection since it has a completely new ignition system and new Bing carburetors including new centrifugal advance mechanism and coil. The bike hums right along the highway and rides like new. Everything on this bike works as it should. The exhaust is stainless Epco and sounds fantastic . The steering head lock and tool box lock are both new and have a single matching key as well as a new BMW mobile tradition tool kit. Original straight polished aluminum wheels with new disks and stainless spokes, wheel bearings and tires and tubes. The bike is ready for cross country or weekend rides. The bike is very original and has European low position handle bars but the former owner decided on a satin finish black for the frame. I otherwise insisted on keeping the bike as original as possible. The bike is show quality and the new professional paint and striping is near flawless. Headlight and tail lights have been upgraded with high intensity bulbs and all of the hardware on the bike has been upgraded to polished stainless steel. Every control on this bike is perfectly adjusted and the road inputs to the rider are phenomenal as it handles very well. I have personally been over every inch of this bike and my only complaint is some minor scuff marks on the aluminum shock housing sliders from normal compression during riding but it’s a quick and easy fix to remove and polish back out if you choose. I am only selling to make room for an R69S that I recently purchased. Bike has clear California title and current registration.
