Vehicle Detail
1957 CHEVROLET BELAIR 2 DOOR HARDTOP SPORT COUPE First I'll break down the VIN and body plate. VC57F137706: V-8 Belair Flint Mi. #137706 57-1037D: 2 door hardtop coupe V-8; Trim 676: black red cloth; red imitation leather. Paint 819D: India ivory & Matador red. No motor but have a 3 speed trans, bell housing & clutch. Car is very much complete but completely disassembled. Doors and fenders are just hanging by one bolt. All stainless and chrome is their, most very nice, some will need restoring or buffing. Have front & rear bumpers, hood rockets, all side stainless, both aluminum inserts on quarters, headlights, buckets & trim rings, headlight bezels, tail lights, all glass in nice shape, all trim for around the glass, all side glass trim, all interior trim around the glass, grill, center grill bar with emblem, V type V-8 emblems, Chevrolet script, quarter top stainless, gas tank door, remaining stainless from top of quarter to tail lights, original steering wheel and horn ring, original radio, all gauges and speedo(shows 36000 now), instrument cluster housing, all vent parts, heater parts, heater control assy, most of the wiring is their, key in ignition(turned over motor that was in it), door handles, hood hinges, all pedals, headliner & bows, upper & lower rear seat, dome light & cover, e-brake still mounted, all switches for dash, speaker cover, door and rear kick panels(very rough), interior door and window handles, window crank assemblies, all latches, inner fenders, fender vents, underhood wiring, all steering components, master cylinder, 2 gas tanks and sending units, filler neck and boxes of parts and hardware. Most of these items are in the pictures. It has all been identified, sorted, and taped together in sets. I don't have tail light lenses, front marker lenses, front seat (has buckets with it), carpet, and one inner door panel. At least thats all I know of. Car has saveable doors, trunk lid & fenders(have had bottoms repaired and need finishing). Trunk lid is dented but poppable. Hood in good shape, comes with another spare. Have a second set of doors. Roof is straight and drip rails and window channels are good. Dash is very nice. Car is in red primer to stop surface rust on panels. It will need quarters, (one is currently half cut off-see picture), rockers, floor pans and braces, and tail pan. Will need inner quarter repair. Seamless frame in very nice shape, looks to have been blasted and painted not long ago. All body mounts on frame are good. Good suspension. 10 bolt rear. Car is a roller. Car does have title and tag. Title was filled out but not registered, I DO have the affirmation of correction filled out (affidavit) to have it legally put in the new owners name. The 57 Belair sport coupes are becoming more scarce and this one needs alot of work but is very complete. By the looks of it I believe it is an unrestored Belair hardtop that is not all chopped up or parted out. It has had body repair work in the past. I tried to show all of the car in the pictures, if you need more let me know and I'll try to get them to you. E-mail me your request. Non refundable deposit of $500.00 due 48 hrs. after auction close through pay pal. Balance to be discussed with winning bidder. See details and other information about pick-up below. All feedback of 0 will e-mail me first before bidding. Money orders and cashiers checks must clear my account before car is picked up. This car is a restoration project and has been advertised as such. It is being sold as is with no warranties. Please feel free to ask any questions you have before bidding, I'll answer them as soon as I can. Good luck and don't miss your chance to own a piece of American classic history. Thanks for looking.
