Auction ended due to error in listing . . . now relisted. Up for auction is a 1955 Ford Thunderbird T-Bird Convertible. It's been in a barn since 1966. It is original, ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL and QUITE RUSTY. It's probably going to need a frame. It is very loaded up with options. Comes with hard top only. Power steering, power brakes, power windows and power seat. 40,000 actual miles. Automatic transmission. They've sprayed a little primer on it and tried to fiberglass a little rust on the trunk lid, but other than that it's pretty well untouched. The story behind this car is that Henry Ford II gave it to his good friend. I purchased it from his sister. There is no documentation proving that. He drove it until 1966. It was starting to get rusty and has sat in the barn ever since. About two years ago, he had the wheels sandblasted and painted and put some used whitewall tires on it so it would roll around. This car is quite rusty, but rusty weird for a 1955 Thunderbird. The trunk floor is great and so are most of the floor panels. Mostly in the frame, rockers and quarters. VERY restorable car. This car is being sold in WHERE IS, AS IS condition with no warranties or guarantees stated, expressed or implied. Buyer has right to inspect car prior to bidding.
