You are viewing my 1986 Chevrolet Silverado two wheel drive regular cab short bed. It is in superb condition for its age. Its brown metallic and is all original paint. There is some surface rust that has formed on the roof due to the paint fading away, but other than that, the paint on the body is actually fairly good. I purchased this truck a while back from an estate sale. It came with all the books, warranty info, and lots of other paperwork. It is a one owner and the title is still in the original owner’s name. It is signed off on the back of course. The original name on the title matches the name and information found on the original warranty card. What a rare find. The interior did need some freshening up when I bought it. I bought a new molded dash (not a cover) and a seat cover. I painted the dash by mixing the original interior paint code in my sherwin williams mixing system. The dash matches perfectly. Now the interior looks like its just about brand new. It even has its original floor mats. Everything else inside and out is 100% original to the truck. It has around 99,000 miles on it and the factory v8 engine needs a rebuild. It does run but not very well. It will need a rebuild because you can here something bumping inside. Probably a rod. It does have its 100% original factory drivetrain. The body is in excellent shape. It is remarkable how nice it really is. There is only one ding on it and that is on the upper portion of the bed on the passengers side near the tailgate. The complete exterior is as straight as an arrow. The bed seriously looks like there has never been anything laid in it. It is just like new and I have never seen another truck with a bed this nice.....even the new model ones have some scuffs and scratches.....but not this 86. There is some surface rust on the roof as mentioned before, but that is all that it is....just surface only. It will scratch off with your finger nail. There are no rust holes or scabs anywhere. This truck looks amazing underneath as well. This Silverado is a highly optioned truck. It has the factory v8 of course, but it also has air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, factory sliding rear window, rallye wheels, factory cargo lamp, factory dual gas tanks, and am/fm radio.
