Vehicle Detail
Will try this again due to non paying bidder: Up for auction is my "70" Highboy. Four years ago I put a southern California '72 F250 "sport custom" "camper special" (thus the 2 fuel filler necks, only the cab mounted works) body on a '70 highboy chassis. It is clear titled as a '70 F26 highboy, completely legal. At the time of the conversion I put in a mild cam (way more subtle than I anticipated), oil pump, fuel pump, rebuilt all 4 brakes, new master cylinder, dual exhaust ( dynomax mufflers), high flow water pump, starter, 4 Rancho shocks, steering stabilizer, and put in a new clutch. It has had a "howl" for a while when you push the clutch in (throwout bearing?), but operates & shifts fine. I re-used the heavy duty camper special radiator also. It has a 390, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, Holley square bore 600 cfm 4V with electric choke. The ignition has been upgraded with a Pertronix Ignitor & coil. Trans is a new process 4 speed with granny, divorced NP-205 transfer case, Dana 44 & 60 4.10 ratio (posi in the rear), power drum brakes, manual steering. I put in new t case mounting bushings last summer. Tires are 33X12.5-16.5" all terrains, fair tread left on them. The body has its scrapes & dings, but nothing major. Some surface rust, the worst is above the driver's door under the drip rail. All panels & cab mounts are solid. The driver's side fender is missing the bolt mount at the bottom near the door, so it flops a bit, will need a piece welded to the inner fenderwell. Interior is to be expected, seat upholstery is shot, cracked the dash pad a few winters ago, and cracked the windshield a couple years ago, which has gotten progressively worse. Turn signals don't automatically cancel (I think the cam is broken), and the horn doesn't work (its missing 1 contact spring between the wheel and the column). I have driver's door panel. This is a really great truck I had fun building, i really hope someone appreciates its potential as I do and gives it a good home. I have nit picked it best I can so there aren't any disappointments. It is rarely driven, mainly winter, so it should go so I can make space. I have described this great truck as accurately as possible, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
