Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a customised 1967 Mustang Fastback. This is a very special car we named the "Menace". From the grill to the gas tank this is a one of a kind. Fully independent rear suspension, stainless steel Mustang II front suspension and an all aluminum 427 FE side oiler with a custom 8 pack injection system are just a few of the things that set this car off as a truly, one of a kind ride. I am one of the builders and am selling it for the owner who has found a new hobby. This is a new build that was completed in 2007. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at compucarracing@gmail.com and I will respond as soon as possible. I am very familiar with the car and should be able to answer your questions promptly. I have started the auction at 67k with no reserve. If your familiar with the true costs and time involved with building a car like this you know that anything close to that would be a steal. I will be available to show the car but will be screening bidders. The car is located in Akron Ohio, 44306. I can deliver anywhere in the US $.60 per mile enclosed trailer. Here is a slideshow of the Mustang. I will list the details below the slideshow. The engine is a Genesis aluminum 427 FE side oiler with screw in freeze plugs, stroked to 468. The bore is 4.25 and the stroke is 4.125. Scat crankshaft with Scat H-beam rods and Diamond racing pistons (10.5 compression). Fully ported and polished Edelbrock cylinder heads with shaft mount roller rocker arms and Cobra Lemans valve covers. Custom grind Comp Cams roller camshaft. Fast XFI fuel injection hidden below a TMW 8 pack fuel induction package. The EFI is fed by a Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and an10 fuel line from the fuel rail to the custom aluminum 23 gallon fuel tank. The oil pan is a custom aluminum pan and the oil filters are remote mounted behind the front bumper cover, an auxilery oil cooler with fan is also mounted behind the front bumper cover. Total oil capacity is 9.5 quarts. The Horsepower and torque were both 575 at the flywheel. Total cost to build this engine with accesories, induction, injection, custom pan, custom cnc'd parts and plumbing is around $45,000. The exhaust starts with JBA long tube headers feeding 2.5 inch 304 Stainless mandrel bent pipe with Magnaflow racing mufflers and Vortex cones. The DHM exhaust cut outs are protected by custom stainless tig welded covers and controlled by a custom controller. The controller has two modes, racing and menace. In racing mode the cut outs open automatically above 3400 RPM and automatically close below 3400RPM. Menace mode they are open all the time. No holding buttons like the ones you see at speed shops, this is fully automatic. The tips are custom stainless units that mount in the side skirts. The exhaust was fully tig welded with stainless wire and completely polished. Sounds awsome and will last for ever. The transmission is a turbo 400 with an ultra bellhousing for the 427 and a 3000 stall converter. The trans is made by F&B transmission and is rated to 1000 horse power. Full manual valve body, 34 element sprag and racing frictions make this a very hard to beat trans. F&B is well known in the drag racing community for thier attention to detail and brute strength transmissions. There are several reasons I chose the 400 trans so hopefully you die hard Ford guys don't beat me up for not using one of Fords transmissions. There are two transmission coolers with fans mounted under the back of the car on either side of the gas tank. There is a transmission temp gauge mounted on the B&M Black Diamond shifter next to the engine oil temp gauge. The rear end and suspension is a Heidts Superide fully independent custom aluminum Ford 9 inch, posi with 3.55 gears and a polished Currie 3rd member. The brake rotors are inboard mounted to the differential housing like a Jaguar with polished 4 piston calipers and optional polished emergency brake calipers installed. The half shafts are the heavy duty chrome version, Heidts tells me they will handle over 1000HP. The coil overs are polished billet QA1 5 way's. The hubs are one piece aluminum. This is a spectacular unit to look at and functions wonderfully. The front suspension is Heidts Superide II with stainless steel control arms, polished billet QA1 five way coil overs and a chrome sway bar and chrome power rack and pinion. This set up allowed us to remove the stock strut towers and create a nice clean space for our 427. The front brakes are Wilwood 6 piston polished calipers with stainless steel lines and Wilwood rotors that are cross drilled and slotted. The in dash HDD navigation and multimedia AV receiver with DVD, Pioneer AVIC-Z1, has so many functions I am just going to drop in a link to the Pioneer page on this unit. I will tell you that I find the touch screen to be real cool. You can set it up as a tach with accelorometers or a speedometer with a tach. Very cool for measuring braking and accelleration g-forces and g-s through turns. It has blue tooth, a 30 gig hard drive and all of that including the navigation is voice activated. The amps and speakers are made by JL Audio and it is the top of the line. Here is the link to the head unit. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/In-Dash/GPS-Navigation-Systems/AVIC-Z1?tab=D The interior is leather with a suede headliner. The dash and center console are custom and covered in leather as is the Competition Engioneering roll bar. The center console has a storage compartment and a chrome fire extingusher mounted to the side of the storage compartment. There is also a stainless steel button on the console that is for the line lock. The heat and air is Vintage Air. The gauges are Autometer Pro-Comp and are housed in a custom aluminum bezel with sequencing turn indicators. The seats are electric fully adjustable. I reserve the right to end the auction early More Vids My Baby
