Vehicle Detail

5.0L GT Mustang - OWN THE LEGEND!!! - Last year of the 302 engine ever made - This rare engine / bodystyle combination only produced for 1.5 years! In 1997 this car was purchased from the original owner by my dad. It was our family's second 5.0L Mustang. My brother still drives our 1987 FOX Body. I am selling because I needed a larger car, and because of the impending maintenance that comes with owning a 15 year old car. It will continue to be a great daily driver, autocross car, showpiece, or hobby car. The 5.0L engine has one of the largest selections of aftermarket / performance parts of any car, ever. You could treat this completely stock vehicle as a blank canvas, or keep as is. You will NOT find a newer 5.0L engine, or one in better condition. The oil was changed religiously with DuraBlend. Never raced or abused. Being a 15 year old car be aware of the following: - The odometer stopped working 1 year ago at 132,000 miles I would estimate 140,000 actual miles on the car. - Was involved in an accident where I rear-ended another car. Damage was minimal and AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. Professionally repaired and repainted. - Cracked headlight w/ scrapes (see picture) - icy driveway + garage - Small repainted section on front right (see picture) - deer walked away from incident - Front seal on engine leaks some antifreeze (car is still usable for daily driver as is!) To restore to its full beauty I would reccomend: - New paint job - Replacing front seal on engine (estimated cost $800) - New front left headlight ($40) I can help on delivery within a short distance of Charlotte, NC. Willing to transport to the Northern Virginia / DC Metro area for free! Car is available for a test drive nights and weekends. Love at first sight gaurenteed! On Oct-05-10 at 19:38:03 PDT, seller added the following information: 5.0L GT Mustang - OWN THE LEGEND!!! - Last year of the 302 engine ever made - This rare engine / bodystyle combination only produced for 1.5 years! The seal/gasket leaking is the timing cover gasket directly behind the water pump. At first I didn't think this should be something to look coolant... but the following links explain it (especially the 2nd) http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/94-95-tech/238896-1995-mustang-gt-coolant-leaking-timing-chain-cover.html http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/747638-how-timing-cover-install-manual-automatic-transmissions.html - New front left headlight ($40) I can help on delivery within a short distance of Charlotte, NC.
