Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1961 Ford F-100 Unibody Truck / 6-Cylinder, 3-Speed Standard off the column and it has most of its original parts including the original drive train, suspension, electric system, cooling system, gauges, interior, etc. It has excellent glass throughout and a dry, solid cab. The truck bed has a solid, straight floor, tailgate, headboard and wheel tubs. It has the original spare tire and mounting hardware included. The doors, hinges, steering column, gear boxes, suspension, etc. are in all good solid, original condition. This truck came from the factory in the color Teal in both the interior and on the exterior. The exterior was sprayed green. The bed floor has some rust through where the floor meets the headboard. There is no damage to the cab. There is some rot through on the drivers side tailgate lower support post. It does not effect the opening or closing hinge or locks. There is some rot through on the outer bed on both sides between the door and the front of the wheel well. All these items are shown in pictures. The passenger side hood hinge needs repair. There is no key. The switch has been separated from the tumbler and will start with a screwdriver - no wires have been cut and all the electric functions work, but it will need a new key/keyswitch. IMPORTANT, the only thing that is stopping this from being a completely roadworthy vehicle is the brake wheel cylinders. This truck has been sitting and condensation has built up over the years in the wheel cylinders. There is nothing wrong with the master cylinder or the steel brake lines, it is all in the wheel cylinders. I feel the front wheel cylinders can be rebuilt, but I believe the back cylinders will need to be replaced. With all things said, this is a great start for a 50 year old Ford F-100 Unibody Truck. If interested, please respond with questions and/or a contact number and some suggested times that I can reach you.
